COLUMBIA, S.C. (September 21, 2014) — ESPN’s popular College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will be coming to Columbia this week, it was announced today.

The live three-hour show, which features Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard will be aired nationally beginning at 9 a.m. ET, Saturday, September 27 on ESPN.

The show will take place from the historic Horseshoe in the middle of the Carolina campus.

The South Carolina Gamecocks (3-1, 2-1 SEC) will host the Missouri Tigers (3-1, 0-0 SEC) at a sold out Williams-Brice Stadium at 7 p.m. Saturday night. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

This will mark the seventh time that ESPN’s College GameDay will visit the South Carolina campus. The Gamecocks own a 3-3 record when GameDay has been on campus. Here are those dates and opponents:

Nov. 10, 2001: #4 Florida 54, #14 South Carolina 17
Sept. 11, 2004: #3 Georgia 20, South Carolina 16
Aug. 31, 2005: South Carolina 24, UCF 15
Oct. 28, 2006: #8 Tennessee 31, South Carolina 24
Oct. 9, 2010: #19 South Carolina 31, #1 Alabama 28
Oct. 6, 2012: #6 South Carolina 35, #5 Georgia 7

Although I find it a little silly that FITS feels the need to jump into the sports reporting, I somehow manage to skim the articles.

That said, “Get it right” beat me to it. Where the eff did you get your stats for the Alabama game? You’re not even close.

They wanted to do it at near the stadium. Someone asked, “Why don’t we do it on the Horseshoe?” And Dabo yelled, “Go for it!”
