Clemson University wide receiver Sammy Watkins was the only player from a Palmetto State school to land on ESPN’s 2013-14 All-Bowl team – released this weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound speedster from Fort Myers, Florida capped his collegiate career with a 16-catch, 227-yard performance in the Tigers’ 40-35 win over Ohio State in the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl.  Both of those marks were Orange Bowl records.  Watkins also caught a pair of touchdown passes.

After the game, Watkins announced that he would enter the NFL draft.

He leaves Clemson as a three-time first-team All-American and the school’s record holder in receptions and reception yards.
