We don’t doubt there are jerks in the world who refuse to tip their servers on the basis of sexual orientation … but a highly publicized example of this discriminatory behavior appears to have been a hoax.

According to reporter Brynn Gingras of NBC New York, the family accused of stiffing New Jersey waitress Dayna Morales – a former Marine who is a lesbian – actually did tip her. Nearly twenty percent, in fact.

Earlier this month Morales posted a photo of a receipt to Facebook alleging she had been denied a tip due to her homosexuality.

“I’m sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle,” a note written on the $93.55 receipt stated.

Morales was indignant.

“NEVER in a million years did I think this would happen,” she wrote. “Not only was it a family with two kids, but as I introduce myself and tell them my name is Dayna – the mom proceeds to look at me and say ‘oh I thought you were gonna say your name is Dan. You sure surprised us!'”

“I am THOROUGHLY offended mad pissed off and hurt that THIS is what her kids will grow up learning and that I served in the Marines to keep ignorant people like them free,” Morales continued. “Sorry lady but I don’t agree with YOUR lifestyle and the way you’re raising your kids but you didn’t see me throwing that in your face and giving you shitty service. Keep your damn mouth shut and pray we never cross paths again.”

Morales’ post exploded on social media, prompting an outcry of support from the gay community – and equality supporters – as well as a flood of media coverage.

There’s just one problem …

A couple dining with their children at Morales’ restaurant on the evening in question recognized the receipt – and provided NBC New York with a receipt from their records bearing the same time stamp. That receipt showed that an $18.00 tip was left on the $93.55 tab (a 19 percent gratuity). Not only that, the family provided credit card records showing they were charged $111.55 (the price of the meal and the tip).

Oh … and if all that wasn’t enough, the husband NBC New York he supports gay marriage, going so far as to vote against Gov. Chris Christie due to his inconsistency on the issue.

“Never would a message like that come from us,” he told the station.

Morales’ response to all this?

You can watch the blank “I’m busted but I’ve gotta keep up the ruse” stare in this report. Meanwhile the restaurant refused to provide a record of its credit card charges from the evening in question.

Yeah … it doesn’t take Judge Wapner to figure out how this case is going to end.

Manufactured controversy. For most gays, it’s just a lifestyle, but for some, it’s an agenda.

They have to have something to do between gay pride marches and coordinating their neon colored G-string (for the men) and flannel shirts (for the Jean Toal types).

“A manager and the restaurant owner insisted they had the original ticket for the $93.55 charge, but would not produce the receipt for NBC 4 New York and could not explain why the family’s credit card was charged for more.” An internal investigation by the restaurant is being made.

So, how is this case going to end, Judge Wapner?

All this talk about Judge Wapner has me thinking about Rain Man.

She could have easily hit “reprint” and wrote whatever she wanted on the new ticket before she closed out the tab with tip on the restaurant computer system.

Was he in that movie,’Dances With Girls’?

He’s not very photogenic, but Hollywood can work miracles.

This is like the school that had to back pedal “Joy To The World”. Playing the victim to push an agenda.

Many homosexuals and lesbians are always looking for a reason to be indignant. It fits with the victimhood narrative that seems to populate many of their lives to explain why some of them are having a rough go of it in life.

Then they don’t have to take any responsibility. Not all gays mind you, just some.

Photoshop makes all things possible (both sides of the arguement). My hunch is the merchant copy is the real one. The reprint post also makes sense. Why would it be news if not.
