YORK, SC — Carolina Conservatives United launched today with a grassroots effort to Defeat Lindsey Graham in the 2014 Republican Primary. Carolina Conservatives United is a non-profit political organization based in South Carolina whose mission is to support political candidates who support conservative values and oppose those who do not.

“As residents of South Carolina and grassroots activists in the conservative movement, we are concerned not only about Lindsey Graham’s voting record on important issues but also the contempt he regularly displays toward small-government conservative citizens,” said Bruce Carroll, Chairman of CCU.

“We never know which Lindsey Graham will show up in Washington each day. He’s more likely to side with liberal Senate Democrats on important votes than with Senator Tim Scott or the South Carolina Republican Congressional delegation,” Carroll continued.

Defeat Lindsey Graham will be a grassroots effort calling on all conservative SC voters to send a loud message that we need leaders in Washington, DC, who are less like Lindsey Graham and more like Tim Scott, Jim DeMint, Trey Gowdy, Mick Mulvaney and Joe Wilson.

“Lindsey Graham is part of the DC culture that is crippling our nation.  We believe that he’s been there long enough and we are going to spend time outside our normal day-to-day jobs & lives to bring him home,” said Breeanne Howe, CCU Board Secretary. “Fellow conservatives who would like to join us can donate to the cause and also send us leads on Graham’s record through our email: DefeatGraham@gmail.com.”

“For the voters of South Carolina — when the issues are important — Lindsey Graham is reliably unreliable,” said John Ciccone, Treasurer of CCU. “South Carolina needs a Senator who consistently represents the needs of our state, not the wishes of John McCain and Barack Obama.”

The Defeat Lindsey Graham campaign is the first organized effort to fully educate South Carolina’s voters on Graham’s voting record, public statements, and flip-flops on critical issues facing the United States. This effort will utilize social media, web videos, television advertising, direct mail and attendance at statewide grassroots events.

The real Tea Partiers seem to cut and run. Moose Bait and Jim DeMented took the $$$ and ran.

The rest just vote No and occasionally yell “You lie”. I agree Lindsey the former Mike “The Duke Mayo” Dukakis supporter isn’t your cup of tea but again ………who in the hell would really do better with the vote? That will not change.

I’m going out on a limb here, Lindsay has to go but I don’t think T-Rav is right choice. He should save his money for extracurriculars.

Ain’t going to happen. Sen. Graham is has been in the U.S. Senate and has helped too many folks with individual issues. They’re going to vote for him and work for him. I agree that he probably needs to move on, but I just don’t see it happening.

Why would any South Carolinian in their right mind ever VOTE AGAINST a senior Senator from our state. Don’t you realize that committee appointments and chairs are based on seniority. Don’t you believe for one minute that SC would have been in much worse shape with military base closings if not for Senator’s Thurmond & Hollings. Go ahead and not reelect Graham if you want and see what Juvenile Senator Tim Scott and a Newbie Senator can do for you. So what you don’t like Graham deal with it. it would be tragic for a State like SC to have two fresh meat Senators. The big boy power brokers in DC will have us for lunch. Sorry committee assignments etc. Don’t forget the Senate is controlled by Democrats and probably will still be controlled by Democrats after the 2014 elections. Two newbie Repubs will mean the worst committee assignments on the least influential committees. That’s just my two cents.

Screw him. He has his nose up John McCain’s butt. I would like to see both turned out.
