Greg Rogers, a Republican activist and consultant from Fort Mill, S.C., died suddenly this week. No details are available regarding the circumstances surrounding his passing. Only this obituary.

Rogers started the Young Republicans organization at Winthrop College. He was president of his own political consulting firm – Palmetto Group Consultants, LLC.

Funeral services for the 33-year-old will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Tega Cay Baptist Church. Meanwhile a fund has been established to support his family.

Rogers’ wife, Rebecca, gave birth to a baby boy, Hampton, just one month ago.

Terribly, terribly sad …

So will his death get the Vince Foster conspiracy theory treatment? Probably not…

Show some deference to the poor man’s soul. Your comment is uncalled for.

You need to be righteously indignant with this website for running a post that by virtue of “No details are available regarding the circumstances surrounding his passing” seems to be implying or trying to make people infer the man’s death is somehow salacious.
Of course, they could just be horrendous writers.
If this site didn’t know anything, it shouldn’t have posted anything.
This is what happens when we read a website produced by low lifes who do not have any empathy for their fellow human beings.

Why are so many obits followed by a “fund” to donate to? Don’t these people buy life insurance for their families? Why are we responsible for their poor financial planning?

“Why are we responsible for their poor financial planning?”

You aren’t, you’ve completely constructed that responsibility in your own charming head, and it’s not born of any understandable logic.

I knew Greg a bit…he was a helpful sort and always friendly. And for that alone I appreciate his presence on this planet.

My best to his family in this tough, tough time.
