(Columbia, SC) –Bill Leidinger, Chief of Staff for SC Treasurer Curtis Loftis, today issued the following statement on Treasurer Loftis being admitted to a Columbia area hospital.
“Early Monday morning, Treasurer Loftis was awaken by pains in his chest and down his arm. After consultation with his personal physician, Curtis was admitted to a Columbia area hospital where he remains at this hour though he may be discharged this afternoon. Doctors continue to run various tests and Curtis remains positive and upbeat. Meanwhile, the Treasurer’s Office continues to provide services to the citizens of our State whether it’s our 529 College Program, Palmetto Payback or the Treasurer’s notion of accountability and efficiency in how we collect and spend public dollars. Curtis also asked me to thank those who’ve sent prayers and good wishes during his hospital stay.”
