Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Jeff Duncan released the following statement on Paul Ryan’s budget plan:

“We owe the American people a responsible, balanced budget. Paul Ryan’s plan reduces deficits by $4.6 trillion over the next ten years, targets wasteful Washington spending, and reforms the drivers of the debt. It also locks in the savings from sequestration, calls for the repeal of ObamaCare, and balances the federal budget in ten years.”

“Today, the Senate is convening its 1414th consecutive day without a budget. I am hopeful that the Senate will finally pass one this year, but I hold out no hope that it will be balanced, any more than the last four White House drafts have been. While the Republican House produces fiscal responsibility, I expect the Senate and the White House to produce yet another busted budget.”

The budget proposed by Ryan all but sunk his credentials as a problem solver. What a waste of time his budget is…what a missed opportunity to coordinate a budget with the Federal Reserve allowing current tax revenues to stay in place and planning for interest rate hikes.

You’d think a 2nd amendment lover like Duncan would be wary of a document so full of blanks. guess hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Krugman pegged Ryan as the Flimflam Man years ago, and Ryan is living up to the label.
