Columbia – Today Winthrop University’s latest poll confirmed that voters believe that Tea Party Governor Nikki Haley is out of line and too far-right for South Carolina. This poll comes on the heels of her campaign releasing a list of supporters from the right wing of her party who support her for re-election.

“South Carolina needs a governor who can bring people together to get things done, not a Tea-Party loyalist who says one thing and then does another to kowtow to the far-right in the party. The people of South Carolina are looking for leadership, and today’s poll results show that they are not satisfied with their Tea Party governor’s extreme views, the inability to rely on what she says, and the total lack of real results from her administration. It’s clear from this poll that moderate thinkers and everyday voters are already seeing that the people of South Carolina deserve more than what Nikki Haley has been offering.” – Kristin Sosanie, SCDP Communications Director
