Charleston, South Carolina – January 15, 2013 – Republican candidate Teddy Turner, announces Lowcountry Reception to kick off his bid for the First Congressional District.

“Clearly, the spending in Washington has gotten way out of control with no real efforts to cut spending while thousands go without jobs. It’s frustrating and I believe I can bring fresh ideas to provide a path of creating jobs while fighting to control spending in Washington,” said Teddy Turner. “Voters will be able to make a choice between career politicians, those wanting to ping pong for yet another political position, or a high school economics teacher, former business owner with fresh ideas who’ll work hard to solve many of the problems facing our country.”

“Blair and I invite you to join us with our family, friends, supporters and community and business leaders for a reception to launch my bid as your next congressman. The reception will be held Thursday January 17th from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at the Lighthouse on Shem Creek, 100 Church Street, Mount Pleasant, SC.,” said Turner.

Turner has three children and lives in Mt. Pleasant.
