When I was taking World History in high school and Western Civilization in college, we would inevitably come to WWII. It always puzzled me as to how Hitler was able to convince so many decent average German people to become murderous monsters, or at least to support their evil. I really thought it had to be an anomaly. But now I know I was wrong. All you need is a cult-type leader who convinces a large number of people to believe they are victims. To divide the country into camps where in the eyes of his acolytes you are one of two things (Liberal or Conservative) and they are to hate you if you are not the same as them. It is a sad commentary on society that we are reading a column where an American citizen is saying his side is going to start killing their neighbors who won’t vote their way and support their choices as to who should run the country, and they have the guns to do it.
And please stop the I hope we never see crap. Of course, you and your militia buddies want all that to happen. You want the American people to vote your way and you are threatening them with violence if they don’t. It is Nazi Germany and Hitler’s Brown Shirts all over again.

It is as if all that FITS attracts is self loathing hypocritical, projecting liberals who cannot wait to read his next words and self-flagellate. It is fascinating to me that there really are so many self deluded people in the world, who chose to come to FITS each day.
