There is nothing more fundamental to the American dream than public safety. It’s the core function of government and the foundation upon which everything else is built. As sheriffs, we are on the front lines every day, fighting to keep South Carolina families safe and make sure that justice is served. That is why we have no doubt that Alan Wilson needs to be our next Governor.
President Donald Trump has led a national effort to emphasize law and order, cracking down on illegal immigration, fighting fentanyl, and tackling violent crime. Alan Wilson has been a key partner in advancing that same agenda here in South Carolina.

***
We have seen some candidates throw law enforcement under the bus, spread misrepresentations at best and outright lies at worst about the criminal justice system, and offer nothing more than lip service on the campaign trail. Law enforcement remembers who stands with us, fights alongside us, and genuinely supports our efforts every day. We remember who shows up where the rubber meets the road. Who picks up the phone when we call, and who goes to bat for us in the General Assembly and to the public. Alan Wilson is that leader.

“Alan understands the fundamental role public safety must play in the success of our state….”

There is no fiercer advocate for law enforcement and public safety than Alan Wilson. He’s the only candidate who will be the law-and-order Governor–the only one who truly supports the men and women in blue. He has earned our trust through years of real work, not political photo ops. Whether it’s pushing for bond reform, confronting the fentanyl and drug epidemic, fighting human trafficking, or making our schools safer, Alan Wilson’s record of results is unmatched.
Most importantly, Alan understands the fundamental role public safety must play in the success of our state. No other issue matters if South Carolina families do not feel safe. You simply cannot fix our roads and bridges, attract new businesses, or improve education if people do not feel safe. It all starts with public safety, and Alan Wilson will be the Governor who delivers a historic law and order agenda–just like President Donald Trump is doing on the national level.

We know Alan Wilson is a strong leader. We know he is the Law-and-Order candidate. Not only has he dedicated his civilian career to prosecuting the worst of the worst, Alan has also defended our country overseas in Iraq. And as Attorney General, he’s been a staunch partner with us as we fight drug traffickers, domestic batters, repeat offenders and work to support victims when the unimaginable happens. We’ve seen Alan stand shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and victims. He has fought to dismantle drug rings, hold violent offenders accountable, and keep our streets clean.
We care about this state. We care about its future, and we believe South Carolina families deserve a governor who supports law enforcement, not someone who undermines us. We need a leader who will build bridges, not destroy trust. That leader is Alan Wilson.
Let’s make South Carolina safer. Let’s elect the proven law and order champion who will stand up for us, protect South Carolina families, and support President Trump’s law and order agenda. Please join us in supporting Alan Wilson for Governor.

Tell that to Scott Spivey.
Yes. Tell that to Scott Spivey.
I’m *so* disappointed in Carl Ritchie who was my former police chief and who I supported during the recent election, especially after Nancy Mace called out his predicesor and who might have tipped the election in his favor. Every time he comes out and supports do nothing Alan Wilson, I will loudly speak out against him for this and hope other Mt Pleasant and Charleston County residents will as well.
*spell correction of above (won’t let me edit) predecessor :)
So the real question is which candidate isnt in support of law enforcement?
I will say Alan Wilson stands on his own. I mean if there was something unfavorable Trumps going to do that doesnt match our states ethos as a whole, Alan would be the first one to say No to him. He’s military, political, legal, and if he becomes Governor it’ll be a normal fit. I like underdogs though, so nothing personal.
And just to express the whole fight with Mace, he “won” that exchange hands down with his polished behavior. You can tell there was more to that than just exposing party guys behavior, she was scorned and from my expirence with divorce. No thank you. Not again.
You mean the Alan Wilson who dressed up in his Trump suit and flew to NYC to support the convicted felon, sexual abuser and friend of Jeffrey Epstein and Jizzlaine “I wish her well” Maxwell? That Alan Wilson? That Donald Trump who only avoided being found guilty of several other indictments because he ran out the clock on them? Is running a crypto scam out of the WH? Those “law and order” guys?
What have you dolts been smoking? And can I have some?
Best laugh in weeks. The “Law & Order” Governor in the “Catch & Release” don’t care how many drunks kill State?? Yea….sure.
I would love to see the stats on how many open General Sessions cases there are statewide. Data on how many are currently wandering around on General Sessions bonds broken down by charging offense would also be nice. Never happen but we can always dream.
I wonder who wrote this for them. None of the four of these guys can string together that many words in any sort of cogent manner.
You lost me with the headline. Trump hates law and order much like Alan Wilson. They are both criminals. Lets improve the state by stopping the electing of criminals.
No Republicans give a crap about law and order. It’s just something they say to get votes. After all, they worship a convicted felon who admits to molesting women and who says he does not think domestic violence should even be a crime. I guess sometimes you just need to knock the old lady around to make sure she doesn’t forget who is head of the family.
Nancy claims to be a victim of sexual assault, but continues to support a serial molester, who is actively covering up his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and his sex trafficking of children, and declaring anyone who wants to see the files his enemy. That would appear to make her his enemy, but she continues to bow down and kiss his ass anyway. So again, no respect for law and order.
Ralph refused to even shake the hand of a Capit0l Police officer who was beaten, had mace sprayed in his face, and was seriously injured on January 6, while he was defending Ralph and everyone else in the Capitol that day.
And Alan rushed to NY to bow down before Trump and pledge his loyalty, even though the man had just been convicted by a jury of his peers of 34 crimes. What does that say? Republicans have no respect for our judicial system unless they get the result they want? Does that not mean that no democrat could get a fair trial in South Carolina? It is total hypocrisy.
Why do you think they call them “PIGS”?
How do ya’ll feel about your endorsement with every passing day that it turns out Alan Wilson is a DO NOTHING AG?
Failed to prosecute 92 percent of sex abuser cases in Dorchester County.
Sheriff Ritchey – I know you’re better than this. Please pull your endorsement.
