Nancy Mace’s ‘Scorched Earth’ Speech Blasts Alleged Sex Predators

Congresswoman also excoriates South Carolina’s top prosecutor for alleged inaction…

Congresswoman Nancy Mace took to the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday evening (February 10, 2025) to publicly call out multiple individuals she claims perpetrated horrific abuses against her and other women.

She also blasted a justice system which, according to her, lacked “the guts to call them out or hold them accountable.”

“I will burn this system to the ground if I have to,” Mace said.

One of the men she accused of sexual assault? Her former fiancée…

“I’m going scorched earth,” Mace said. “So, let the bridges I burn light our way forward.”

The speech – which Mace promoted across her social platforms for several days leading up to it – began with a recounting of the end of her relationship with Charleston, S.C. entrepreneur Patrick Bryant. Mace and Bryant were engaged in May of 2022, but she terminated the relationship in late 2023 after catching him on a dating app.

That discovery prompted a flood of other unanticipated disclosures, Mace stated.

“In November 2023, I accidentally uncovered some of the most heinous crimes against women imaginable — we’re talking about rape, nonconsensual photos and nonconsensual videos of women and underage girls, and the premeditated, calculated, exploitation of innocent women and girls in my district,” she said. “When I uncovered evidence of rape, illegal filming of women, illegal photographing of women, and sex trafficking, I didn’t just see victims — I saw a system which failed to protect them.”

According to Mace, days after catching her fiancée on the dating app he “put her thumbprint on his phone” and gave her access to the safe where he had kept the device hidden.

What Mace found on the phone shocked her, she said. Among her discoveries? An app linked to a hidden camera which, according to her, contained more than 10,600 video files depicting voyeurism and sexual abuse.

“I found file after file,” she said.

“In my accidental discovery, I found multiple devices used to record women without their knowledge,” Mace said. “And that’s before I get to what I uncovered with Patrick Bryant and his business partners.”

In addition to the various sexual depravities referenced in her speech, Mace also accused Bryant of physically assaulting her on November 12, 2023 – a day before she said she left him.

“I still have the mark Patrick Bryant made on me,” Mace said. “Rather than see this mark as a scar, I see this scar as the mark of a free woman; free from a monster.  I will wear this mark the rest of my life as a badge of honor.”

Mace named three of Bryant’s business partners as participants in the alleged abuse, holding up a sign labeling them as “predators.”

“Why are they still on the streets of South Carolina?”  Mace asked.

In her remarks, Mace excoriated S.C. attorney general Alan Wilson – widely expected to be one of her top rivals in the race for governor of South Carolina in 2026.

“If Alan Wilson won’t do his job as South Carolina’s attorney general, I will do it for him,” Mace said. “I am duty bound to help every single victim.”

Wilson’s office issued a statement following Mace’s address sharply refuting her characterization of the attorney general’s role in the investigation.

“Recent statements made by congresswoman Nancy Mace regarding the conduct of the South Carolina attorney general are categorically false,” the statement noted. “Ms. Mace either does not understand or is purposefully mischaracterizing the role of the attorney general. At this time, our office has not received any reports or requests for assistance from any law enforcement or prosecution agencies regarding these matters. Additionally, the attorney general and members of his office have had no role and no knowledge of these allegations until her public statements.”

Wilson’s office noted that he and Mace “have been at multiple events together over the last six months” and that Mace “has the attorney general’s personal cell phone number.”

“Not once has she approached or reached out to him regarding any of her concerns,” the statement noted.

Two hours after Mace’s floor speech, the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) – the Palmetto State’s top law enforcement agency – issued a statement related to what it termed an “active and ongoing” investigation.

“SLED opened an investigation regarding allegations of assault, harassment and voyeurism on December 14, 2023, after being contacted by the United States Capitol Police,” agency public information director Renée Wunderlich said in the statement. “The subject of the investigation is Patrick Bryant.”

According to Wunderlich, “SLED has conducted multiple interviews, served multiple search warrants, and has a well-documented case file that will be available for release upon the conclusion of the case.”

“This active and ongoing investigation is complex and has involved multiple lawyers,” Wunderlich added. “Once the investigation is completed, it will be sent to a prosecutor for review.”

Have the cops found the individual that graffitied her house yet?

I was starting to warm to her as a gubernatorial candidate………then this. Sounds a wee bit nutty to me. Okay, more than a wee bit. Like Javanka above, I am having flashbacks to those alleged acts of vandalism against her home, a while back.

Better to find out now than later on, I guess.

The original DEI girl, likes to tout her time at the Citadel but never mentions that her daddy was the commandant of cadets at the time. Not that Wilson is a stellar prosecutor but she needs to dig into actual work or lack of work his office has done instead of screaming like some unhinged sorority girl. I also hope that her allegations are backed by facts or she may find herself bankrupted.

I know we’re supposed to “believe women” but when it’s a known liar and attention seeker like this lady? Well SLED says they have an active investigation. So I guess we shall see…

If she’s reporting truth and has the evidence to support it she is doing the right thing. Even if she doesn’t have the evidence but it could be obtained by proper investigation she’s doing the right thing.

Reporting it doesn’t make her crazy. Not reporting it would make her a coward. Either way she will catch heat from someone.

Not really. If it were true and she waited this long to report it, using it as a springboard for her political ambitions, it makes her a horrible person. If it were true, her waiting years to report it allowed how many others to be victimized because of her delay for political reasons and ambitions? I don’t see her as any sort of hero in this at all.

Have not seen her timeline of this mess but if your right I agree with you.

Let’s see the receipts.

I don’t believe a word of it. She had the resources to ensure justice at her fingertips. If someone did that to me and I was in Congress, I’d make sure they were put under the jail. She had the means to pursue her fight when it supposedly happened but she waits until she announces that she is mulling a run for governor. Why didn’t she fight for women years ago when this happened to stop the victimization of other women? I firmly believe it didn’t happen the way she says it did. I think she’s unhinged and a liar and I hope that she gets removed from Congress and sent to Canada. She is a NUT job!

Her timing raises suspicion. She is so desperate to win something that she knows she doesn’t stand a chance at achieving. She’s expending all her energy too early in this fight. This girl is losing control, and it will ultimately lead to her downfall. Why haven’t we heard about some of this until now? She believes it will make her look heroic, but it actually reveals flaws in her facade.

Wow. Using the halls of Congress to fire an opening shot for your run for Governor is pretty low, even for Mace. I’m sure members of Congress enjoyed the time spent listening to Mace whine about things they knew nothing about. I don’t disagree that SLED is where cases go to die but this was pathetic.

God forbid she gets into The Governor’s Mansion. She will become South Carolina’s new preeminent man-hating cow, making Katrina Shealy look like an advocate for men’s rights, by comparison. Like Katrina, she will be holding office “for the wimmin and the chirren”, not for everyone.

Please, just “NO”!

Could this have been any more questionable, if she had someone standing by her holding a big placard that reads “FAKE”?

The white dress; I guess so people will believe she is the epitome of purity? Then the multiple items of Cross jewelry so we know she is Godly? Seriously?

LMMFAO!

I can fix her February 11, 2025 at 10:05 am

Sad that her family hasn’t been able to restrain her from these choices you can’t go back from. Bipolar 2 is a hell of a drug- plenty of high performers have flown too close to the sun and flamed out on drugs, sex and money. But usually the fall is not so public and documented.

I can believe that these slimebags were drugging women and taking upskirts. Patrick Bryant’s software companies have no actual technology, it’s just him and his cronies siphoning state “business development” funds, self dealing, and selling entrepreneurship courses to the underemployed.

Swinger parties are not attended by good people. You may be rich, powerful, and consider yourself high IQ. You might be a mouthy bisexual woman who has trouble fitting in with the St Andrews / Holy Cross / Junior League crowd. You might think “I’m not like other girls/people, the rules don’t apply to me.”

I have too much personally in common with Ms Mace to not feel the tragedy within this grotesque farce she’s made of herself.

Political hack and opportunist. Everything she is doing so far is to make a name for herself and gain recognition. Hopefully people see through her shallow character.

Nancy is coming out as a real nut job… she reminds me of Jussie Smollett. She’s always the victim, did she ever find the person who raped her the first time? Does she have any actual proof of these videos or photos? If not, I hope she gets destroyed by those she’s accused. The more she opens her mouth, the more she’s coming off as mentally unstable… maybe she should be committed.

Observer (the real one) February 12, 2025 at 5:28 am

I concur, Squishy. The scary thing, is some halfwit judge or appellate court recently dismissed all charges against Jussie. He was as guilty as it gets and now it is as though none of it happened. Hopefully, this eventually drives Mace into the private sector of employment, on a permanent basis.
