South Carolina Democrats – and a group of Democrat-Socialists – are organizing opposition to U.S. president Donald Trump‘s muscular new mass deportation policies. And in news that will surprise no one, the Palmetto State’s über-liberal network of public libraries is playing a willing host to the “resistance.”
Upon taking office, Trump issued a series of executive orders directing enhanced enforcement of America’s immigration laws – including deportation raids executed by agents of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
This Saturday (February 8, 2025), a socialist group in the Midlands region of South Carolina – a state which has overwhelmingly backed Trump in three straight elections – is gathering at the Richland County public library to discuss “effective mass resistance” to Trump’s policies.

Meanwhile, S.C. Democratic Party (SCDP) creative design associate Savannah Nagy posted a video to the party’s X account bemoaning Trump’s executive orders on immigration and the ensuing “mass deportation of undocumented immigrants across the country.”
“As much as I wish it did, (the mass deportation) does not exclude South Carolina,” Nagy said, specifically criticizing first district congresswoman Nancy Mace for dressing in tactical gear as she “went around Goose Creek rounding up undocumented immigrants with ICE.”
According to Nagy, “we can expect more aggressive enforcement in workplaces, transportation hubs and community gathering spaces such as schools, hospitals and churches – and we can also expect to see more early morning home raids.”

“Know your rights,” Nagy continued. “Regardless of immigration status, individuals have constitutional rights.”
While Nagy is correct in asserting that even illegal aliens have certain due process rights, Democrats also have the right not to be stupid.
Along with soaring inflation, the crisis at America’s southern border was one of the main reasons Trump reclaimed the White House in 2024. Why on earth would the party double down on the wrong side of the issue?
“South Carolina Democrats are so fucking dumb,” one party operative told us confidentially. “Opposing mass deportations is the last thing you want to hit the Republicans on in this state.”
The operative added the GOP could “kill us on this.”
They’re right. And on cue, one of the frontrunners for the 2026 GOP gubernatorial nomination pounced on the issue.
“Democratic Socialists are actively trying to thwart law enforcement and organize a ‘mass resistance’ to ICE raids – obstructing justice and endangering our communities,” S.C. attorney general Alan Wilson wrote on X. “Let me be clear: those halting investigations will be held to the full account of the law. We will not tolerate lawlessness in South Carolina.”

Like they did during the Civil War? How many black lives did the Democrats save during that?

Will, can you explain to the MAGA cult that this has nothing to do with Socialism, but a Sovereign Wealth Fund, taking over the Gaza Strip to build a resort, and spending trillions on AI infrastructure for use by giant corporations are examples of Socialism and Crony Capitalism?
While you are at it can you explain why guys like you are not concerned that the government has turned over all of our social security numbers, our tax returns, and all of the information the government holds on every American and every American Company to an immigrant billionaire and a few 19 to 24-year-old kids who is unaccountable to anyone and who have not even made a written promise not to sell the information, give it to a foreign government or use it for his business purposes. I am particularly interested in your take on the fact that the immigrant billionaire’s largest asset is a car company that manufactures half of its cars in China, and if the Chinese government were to seize those factories most of his wealth would disappear overnight. Could he be susceptible to blackmail by China or is he such a great guy he would never sell us out to save his personal fortune?

Isn’t it illegal for a public funded entity such as a public library to to take sides on political issues and support lawlessness? Or something like that?
Seems to me that the Richland County Public Library system should get it’s tax payer based funding cut off.
The democrat party is done. This is last ditch efforts to remain relevant in their own little world.
Deport all Democrats along with the illegals. If you want to show your ass you can go with them!
