One day after mainstream media took its best shot at her, congresswoman Nancy Mace of South Carolina was physically attacked at the U.S. Capitol complex.
The assault on Mace took place shortly before 6:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday evening (December 10, 2024) near her office on Capitol Hill. Mace’s staff confirmed she was “safe” following the attack, but indicated she required medical attention for injuries sustained to her arm.
“I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-trans man,” Mace wrote on X. “One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it’ll heal just fine. The Capitol police arrested the guy. Your trans violence and threats on my life will only make me double down. FAFO.”
“All the violence and threats keep proving our point,” Mace added. “Women deserve to be safe. Your threats will not stop my fight for women!”
Mace told FITSNews she would likely have to wear a brace and was having trouble lifting her arm in the immediate aftermath of the assault.

U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) confirmed the arrest of 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois in connection with the assault – which took place inside the Rayburn House office building during public office hours.
“Tonight, the United States Capitol Police arrested a person who is accused of assaulting a U.S. representative,” the agency noted in a statement. “Just before 6:00 p.m., the member of congress’ office reported an incident in the Rayburn House office building. House Division officers, and agents with the Threat Assessment Section, tracked down the suspect.”
McIntyre – who went through security prior to entering the building – has been charged with assaulting a government official, a violation of 18 U.S. Code § 111. He faces up to a year behind bars in addition to potential fines.
Mace has drawn international headlines after adeptly forcing Democrats in Washington, D.C. to double down on their support for trans ideology – a divisive issue that cost their party dearly in last month’s national election. Specifically, the third-term Republican introduced legislation barring biological males from using “women’s spaces, women’s bathrooms, locker rooms” and “changing rooms” at the U.S. Capitol.
“If someone with a penis is in the women’s locker room, that’s not okay,” Mace told reporters recently. “I’m a rape survivor… I know how vulnerable women and girls are.”
Mace’s advocacy on the bathroom bill prompted U.S. speaker Mike Johnson to adopt her legislation as a rule.
In South Carolina, Mace has been touted as a potential candidate for governor as well as a potential primary challenger to its warmongering senior senator, Lindsey Graham.

If it was in the Capitol, there should be video, let’s see it.
Several witnesses say all he did was shake her hand.
Nancy’s on a fast track to replace MTG as the looniest member of Congress.
What?? No updates on this hot story?? Surely the congresswoman is still running with this story.
Still waiting for an update. Fitsnews—and all involved parties—have gone very silent. Surely all the President(-elect)’s men are working this case. Megadonor(s) surely are offering a huge reward to anyone with valuable information to help with the prosecution. Surely the incoming FBI director has this case at the top of his things to do once in office. Inquiring minds want to know—out of concern for elected officials—and their safety—of course.
