South Carolina congresswoman Nancy Mace has proposed legislation barring men from entering sex-specific spaces at the United States Capitol complex. Mace, who in 1999 was the first female to graduate from South Carolina’s military college, The Citadel, characterized her position as a way to show the GOP was interested in issues important to women.
Mace’s proposal comes on the heels of Donald Trump‘s electoral landslide – an outcome interpreted by politicos of all ideological persuasions as a referendum (at least in part) on the excesses of the left.
Massachusetts U.S. House representative Seth Moulton, who previously sponsored the House Democrat’s “transgender bill of rights” legislation, expressed his frustration with his party ignoring the concerns of parents after his party’s defeat.
“Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” Moulton said in an interview with The New York Times. “I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”

New York Democrat representative Tom Suozzi told the Times his party has to “stop pandering to the far left” – adding he doesn’t think “boys should be playing in girls’ sports.”
The woke-lash extended even to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the progressive firebrand and darling of the far left, who shortly after Trump’s reelection removed her (she/her) pronouns from her social media profiles.
These previously ardent LGBTQIA+ activists were driven to moderation by data – including an analysis performed by Future Forward, a pro-Kamala Harris super PAC. According to the group, a thirty-second television ad which depicted Harris expressing her support for taxpayer-funded sex change operations for prison inmates shifted the popular vote 2.7 percentage points in Trump’s favor.
Democrat strategist James Carville – whose counsel helped propel Bill Clinton into the White House in 1992 – was sounding “woke” alarm bells for months leading up to the 2024 presidential election.
Carville reportedly blew up on a Harris campaign phone call in September, allegedly calling the vice president’s team a “bunch of out-of-touch faggots.”
When asked to apologize, Carville reportedly told the Harris staffer to “take his camo hat and shove it up” his ass.
Rhetorical excesses notwithstanding, Carville was vindicated on election night – and has since suggested Democrats start renouncing division-based race politics and far-left social positions.
“It’s going to take one cycle before we can wash this smell off of our shirt, but I think there’s a good chance that if we act correctly, it will be gone by ’26 and gone-gone by ’28,” Carville said.
Unless Republicans make them own the stink. Mace’s introduction of legislation proposing individuals use the restroom corresponding with their biological sex while at the U.S. Capitol has forced Democrats to make a tough decision… double down on a policy that voters disfavor, or abandon activists in their base.

According to Mace, her bill is “absolutely” in response to the election of Tim (Sarah) McBride, the nation’s first transgender member of congress. Mace said McBride’s status as a “biological man” disqualifies him from using “women’s spaces, women’s bathrooms, locker rooms” and “changing rooms” at the U.S. Capitol.
In filing her bill, Mace is echoing the concerns of a substantial number of women uncomfortable with the presence of biological males in their private spaces.
One Nevada grandmother recently weighed in on a local transgender-locker room controversy spurred by a male high school student’s use of the girls’ locker room earlier this year.
“Girls feel uncomfortable in locker rooms under any circumstances, but especially when they have to share the space with someone who is biologically different from them at birth,” she said.
A sixteen-year-old student told The Daily Signal she was “really uncomfortable” in the school locker room.
“I was just about to change,” she said. “But then I heard this voice, and I was, like, ‘That does not sound right.’ So, I look, and it’s a male.”

The student expressed concern over unwanted physical touch – or potentially being photographed in a state of undress – a well-founded concern given the transgender population’s disproportionate inclination to commit sexual crimes.
According to an analysis of data from British inmates, men who identify as women are three times more likely to be incarcerated for sexual assault.
According to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by nonprofit Fair Play for Women, eighty-one out of the 163 transgender inmates in England in 2019 had been convicted of a sexual offense.
“The fact that half of male prisoners who identify as transgender have been sentenced for sexual crime is strong evidence that trans-women exhibit a high propensity to commit sexual crime similar to that observed for men,” the group concluded. “They do not exhibit a low propensity to commit sexual crime like that observed for women.”

Data indicates a male’s choice to identify as a woman “does not reduce the risk that male people can pose to others.”
“If identifying as a woman did reduce the propensity to commit sex crime to female levels, we would have expected to see just three or four of trans-women in prison with sex crime convictions,” the Fair Play report found.
It’s quite clear why (rational) Democrats feel their party has over-extended itself on this issue, but Carville’s analysis that Democrats can “wash the smell off our shirt” by 2028 simply by “acting right” is likely well-founded. Democrats have a history of successfully rebounding from electoral defeats, and the party’s sharp ascendancy back to power in 2008 after a drubbing in 2004 stands as a model for successful political reinvention within a four-year time period.
However, by forcing Democrats to pick between defending policies that the majority of voters dislike and angering their base, Mace is making this reinvention substantially more difficult.

“If someone with a penis is in the women’s locker room, that’s not ok… I’m a rape survivor… I know how vulnerable women and girls are,” Mace told a capitol hill press scrum.
Democrat representative Dean Philips called Mace’s proposal “pathetic.”
“What are you scared of Nancy?” Phillips asked.
“As a victim of abuse, I know firsthand women are vulnerable, and I will stand in the way of anyone who violates our rights or who wants to set us back 100 years” Mace replied.
New York Democrat Joe Morelle opined that McBride is “a woman” – adding that “she should use the ladies room.”
Despite the bellicose response of some pro-trans lawmakers, Democrat top brass have steered clear of blasting Mace. House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries told Axios he “hadn’t seen” her legislation – despite it having lit a firestorm on Capitol Hill.
Republican house speaker Mike Johnson also downplayed the issue, saying he’s “not going to engage in silly debates” when asked if representative McBride is a man or a woman.

Q: "Is freshman-elect Sarah McBride a man or a woman?"@SpeakerJohnson: "Look, I’m not going to get into this…We treat all persons with dignity and respect. We will. I'm not going to engage is silly debates about this. There's a concern about uses of restroom facilities…" pic.twitter.com/fMtlV3hYxW

Mace said she intends to push for the advancement and passage of her legislation in the upcoming legislative session – and has vowed to re-file the bill until she successfully shepherds it into law.

Too bad attention whore Nancy is not so concerned with the underage girks Butthead Gaetz has repeatedly boned.
Too bad you’re not concerned about intellectual honesty when Biden’s own DOJ thoroughly investigated the allegations against Gaetz for almost 3 years and declined to press charges because (in their own words) the accusing witnesses were not creditworthy.
You know, this is exactly why we need Nancy, to keep throwing their BS in their face. She won’t accomplish anything meaningful, but if she keeps the far left’s bovine excreta out in the open, it will be worth her otherwise often frustrating representation.
