Ron Rallis – the South Carolina real estate mogul who battled bitterly with Upstate congressman William Timmons over the latter’s affair with his wife – was arrested in Charleston County on Sunday afternoon.
Rallis, 45, of Greenville, S.C., was arrested by officers of the Folly Beach department of public safety and charged with first offense driving under the influence, failure to yield, failure to provide proof of insurance and interfering or hindering officers in the performance of their duties.
Rallis was booked at the Charleston County detention center at 6:36 p.m. EDT on Sunday afternoon (September 15, 2024).
Here is his booking photo…

Rallis was a central figure in the ‘Days of our Congressman’ saga which ensnared Timmons in 2022 – and nearly cost him his seat in the U.S. Congress back in June.
This political soap opera began in June of 2022 when Timmons acknowledged an extramarital dalliance with Rallis’ wife, lifestyle and travel blogger Paula Dhier.
Dhier’s affair with Timmons reportedly began in 2021 when she was living off-and-on with various members of the Timmons family – including the congressman and his ex-wife, Sarah Timmons. Dhier and Sarah Timmons were longtime friends – “best friends” of more than seven years, in fact – according to multiple sources familiar with the status of their relationship.
The Timmons jointly announced their separation in the fall of 2022. Meanwhile, Rallis and Dhier reached a settlement in their high-profile divorce and custody case last summer. Both court files are sealed. Back in June, our media outlet published a detailed story on the various machinations accompanying Timmons’ divorce and the sealing of those files.

Rallis gained statewide notoriety in the summer of 2022 when he walked into a West End Greenville church he had previously purchased – and painted pink – and gave this news outlet an exclusive interview regarding his starring role in the Timmons’ sex scandal. As television crews gathered outside, Rallis spoke passionately about his battle for custody of his daughter with Dhier.
Rallis was so effective at ginning up attention that producers of the Bravo TV reality show Southern Charm offered him a spot on their program – which he declined.
Sunday’s arrest is not Rallis’ first brush with the law. He spent three months in jail last year after being found in contempt of a Greenville family court in connection with his divorce and custody battle.
This is a developing story… please check back for updates.

You sure pick the subjects of your bromances well Will! Your first was TRav and lately it’s been Ralli.
I wish I could post a gif of George Costanza with Tony for the Seinfeld fans.
Just what we need -another drunken hostile entitled ass-w*pe using our community as his private playground. At least he didn’t kill any brides in golf carts.
