The Return of Pastor John-Paul Miller

Sources indicate Miller plans to return to the pulpit tomorrow…

One hundred and twenty-seven days after the passing of his estranged wife, Mica Francis Miller, embattled South Carolina pastor John-Paul Miller is reportedly planning on making a return to the pulpit. Multiple sources familiar with the situation tell FITSNews Miller is planning to resume preaching at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, S.C. – perhaps as soon as this weekend.

To recap: Mica was found dead at the Lumber River State Park in Robeson County, North Carolina on April 27, 2024. Her death was officially ruled a suicide by investigators and medical examiners. On April 28, 2024, less than twelve hours after learning the news, John-Paul delivered a sermon at Solid Rock which closed with a bizarre announcement of Mica’s death and instructions to his congregants not to discuss it as they left the church.

That sermon created a cloud of suspicion that still hovers over John-Paul Miller as online sleuths try to decipher Mica’s final day – and specifically what could have compelled her to purchase a gun and drive to a remote location she had no connection to for the purpose of taking her own life. The worship singer and aspiring missionary seemed intent on looking to the future with great hope.

Solid Rock Church has been the site of a protest and cries for “Justice for Mica” every Sunday since.

On May 5, 2024 – as the controversy continued to gain ground – John-Paul was temporarily relieved of his ministerial duties. The announcement came from church member Charles Randall, an overseer of Solid Rock Ministries.

In a recent email to the congregation, John-Paul signaled he was ready to resume his ministerial duties.

“I have been working in a limited ministry capacity while going through a time of healing counsel and guidance,” he wrote. “During this time I have been given a renewed vision for 2025 as I work my way back to full pastoral duties. There is no way I will allow the devil himself to stop all that God has called us to do.”

This “church” is NOT of God. They are totally and completely ignoring what God’s Word says concerning a Pastor who goes astray — and that is separate to Mica’s tragic death. It is totally in apostasy.

Going to that church must be like going to an AA meeting where the person running it is three sheets to the wind.

I am a pastor’s son. I bore witness to my father’s ministry for at least 60 years until his passing. I learned over this time that there was the ministry of the church and the business of running the church. The church and body of people running the church business would NO WAY allow this pastor to resume his position unless it was perfectly clear that that this man was innocent of any criminal invovlement in the death of his wife! Like any job, a minister can be fired for due cause. Being part of a bad marriage resulting in the sordid details being made public as well as a death is surely enough reason for termination. These folks must really believe in their pastor to let him continue!! Of course this is the perfect story for, script writers, journalists, and haters.
