A police officer in Goose Creek, South Carolina collapsed while pursuing a female suspect who was involved in a parking lot brawl on Saturday evening (April 13, 2024). The officer appeared to collapse as he was attempting to activate his taser.
The brawl – and the attempted apprehension of the suspect – were captured on multiple recordings posted to social media. The drama was also featured in an episode of On Patrol Live, according to local police.
The saga began shortly before 11:15 p.m. EDT when the officer of the Goose Creek police department – who has not been identified – was conducting a routine patrol at the Two Keys Tavern located at 650 College Park Road in Ladson, S.C.
“While driving through, he observed a fight in progress involving several female subjects,” a release from the law enforcement agency noted. “He immediately radioed for additional units, and attempted to break up the fight. In doing so, the female subjects turned on him and began to attack. While he had one restrained, he was able to grab the leg of another that was kicking him, causing her to fall to the ground. During the struggle, she was able to break free and began to run.”
“The officer, with his taser drawn, attempted to chase her when he suffered from a medical situation that caused him to collapse,” the release continued.

“We want the public to know that despite the amount of witnesses that were present, NO ONE came to the aid of the officer,” the statement continued.
According to police, deputies with the Berkeley County sheriff’s office eventually arrived on the scene and detained “multiple female suspects.” Emergency responders were also able to provide medical treatment to the fallen officer – who was transported to a nearby medical center. He was treated, released and is expected to make a full recovery, although details regarding his medical condition were not immediately available.
“We understand that this scene played out on On Patrol Live and is being circulated via cell phone videos on social media platforms,” the Goose Creek statement continued. “The police department is extremely appreciative of everyone that has reached out with genuine concern for our officer after watching it on television last night. We are extremely disheartened to know that someone that was present last night chose to capitalize with their cell phone video but opted not to assist the officer at the time of the incident. We as people should strive to be better.”

What an absolute shame that there wasn’t one decent human being in the immediate vicinity that would come to the officer’s aid. I am appalled at the callousness of some people. These people acted like animals and deserve no respect.
No. People see how the police act. It’s not safe to render aid because they’re afraid of everything. I’m not getting shot for some cop that’s probably out of shape and has a medical issue.
Yes, because when police shoot someone it’s usually because they were asked if they needed help
What about the big white guy with a sleeve tattooed on one arm? He did check on the officer and retrieved something for him.
Just let the “female subjects” fight it out next time. Don’t attempt to help them. The Hate the Police Movement is helping to destroy our country
The women all look like prostitutes. Why would any police officer want to risk their lives every day for “things” like these? Only one person thought to help this officer. The decline of humanity is quite evidentiary here.
I have no idea what a prostitute looks like, but I’m glad the learned expert is here to tell us.
I love cops but I’m not a criminal. People who don’t like cops are either criminals or incapable of taking accountability for themselves. Been pulled over several times but had no problems because I was respectful and didn’t try to flee. Also, every time I got pulled over was 100% my fault because of my lead foot, not the fault of the cop doing a dangerous job. I pray for this man who is serving a community that doesn’t deserve him.
It’s about time pigs learn the meaning of FAFO.
