by AMY FEINSTEIN || A month ago, this news outlet reported exclusively on allegations against Charleston, S.C. businessman John David Madison, best known to fans of the hit Bravo TV reality show Southern Charm as “JD” (a.k.a. the “little buddy” of the series’ disgraced ex-star, Thomas Ravenel).
According to a police report obtained exclusively by FITSNews.com, a Mount Pleasant, S.C. woman told local law enforcement that she was raped and sodomized by Madison in the early morning hours of August 22, 2017.
Last weekend, officers of the Mount Pleasant police department were at her home once again when a man involved in the case showed up at her doorstep and allegedly threatened her.
The woman has accused Madison – who is reportedly not returning for Southern Charm’s sixth season – of drugging her after an evening out with a female friend (who is also a potential victim in this case) and Jay Schwartz, a Mount Pleasant chiropractor.

According to the narrative she provided police, Madison and Schwartz came to her home with her female friend on the evening of August 21, 2017. During this visit, she believes Madison and Schwartz intentionally distracted her and the other women in order to “slip a drug” in their drinks.
Hours later, the alleged assault occurred. And not long after that, Schwartz was arrested on drug possession charges. The woman who was with him at the time of his arrest – the same woman who was with Madison and Schwartz at the alleged victim’s home – was transported to a local hospital.
On Saturday morning – in the aftermath of our story detailing these allegations breaking in wide circulation – Schwartz showed up at the Mount Pleasant home of Madison’s alleged victim and rang her doorbell.
The woman told us she was “scared” when she opened the door and saw that it was Schwartz – and asked him what he wanted.
[su_dominion_video_scb]“I’ve been trying to contact you,” he allegedly told her. “I want to talk to you about that night.”
The woman said said she told Schwartz she did not wish to speak to him, but he allegedly persisted – telling her to remember that he “has the messages from that night.”
At this point, the woman said she attempted to close her door but Schwartz put his hand in between the door and its frame to stop her from closing it – at which point he repeated his line about that night.
After Schwartz left, the woman called Mount Pleasant police – who took her information and paid a visit to Schwartz’s home, where he is said to have agreed with her “assessment of their conversation.”
“The officer returned to my house and gave me a copy of a ‘No Trespassing’ order that was given to Schwartz,” the woman told us.

Schwartz was not arrested nor cited according to public court records, despite allegedly attempting to tamper with a witness in an ongoing investigation.
In reporting the sexual assault allegations against Madison last month, the woman had a one-on-one meeting with a Mount Pleasant detective. After being asked if she was reporting an alleged crime in an effort to “get on Southern Charm,” she determined it was best to hire her own lawyer and pursue rape charges against Madison with her own counsel at her side.
Which is exactly what she is doing …
As this news outlet exclusively reported, Ravenel was arraigned this week on a second degree assault and battery charge after an alleged sexual attack against the family nanny, Nanny Dawn, in 2015. Charleston, S.C. police have been investigating this matter since Dawn went to them in May to say that the former politician sexually assaulted her while she cared for his two children.
News of that investigation also broke exclusively on this news site.
Ravenel has surrendered his passport and is not allowed to leave the state without special permission. He was allowed to avoid posting bail after being given a $20,000 personal recognizance bond.

UPDATE: Madison’s accuser, Susan Johnson, has been arrested and charged with filing a false police report.
