Taking a page out of the book of former South Carolina governor Mark Sanford – who once used squealing, defecating piglets to protest “pork barrel” spending in his home state – West Virginia governor Jim Justice used a pile of cow manure as a prop to slam the state’s GOP-controlled legislature.
Only this time the poop-fueled argument was for more government …
“What we have is nothing more than a bunch of political bull-you-know-what,” Justice said, unveiling a steaming pile of dung positioned atop the Republican legislature’s budget, which imposes cuts in an effort to close an estimated $500 million budget deficit.
