“WHAT AN OLD-FASHIONED COUNTRY FAIR SHOULD BE!”

Last year’s event was nearly washed away by the waters of “Floodmaggedon,” but the S.C. Foothills Heritage Fair is back …

Held annually on Highway 123 between Seneca and Westminster, S.C., this regional event is billed by organizers as “what an old-fashioned country fair should be.”

In addition to carnival rides, yummy food, vendors and live music, the Heritage Fair will feature livestock shows, clogging contests, baking and canning competitions, antique tractor demonstrations, and the main attraction – “championship barrel racing and bull riding.”

No really …

The Foothills Heritage Fair – located at 178 Hayfield Road – opened this Monday and runs through Saturday, October 8 (assuming Hurricane Matthew holds off).  For more information on hours of operation and prices, visit the fair’s official website here.
