Law enforcement officials in North Carolina are considering filing criminal charges against GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump in the aftermath of violence that occurred at his campaign rallies in Concord and Fayetteville.
What’s Trump being accused of? Inciting a riot.
According to North Carolina state law, a riot is defined as “a public disturbance involving an assemblage of three or more persons which by disorderly and violent conduct, or the imminent threat of disorderly and violent conduct, results in injury or damage to persons or property or creates a clear and present danger of injury or damage to persons or property.”
Assuming the damages are less than $1,500, the charge is a misdemeanor. If the damages exceed $1,500 – it’s a felony.
Sheriff’s deputies in Cumberland County, N.C. are exploring the charge against Trump after one of his supporters – John Franklin McGraw – punched a black agitator during the Fayetteville rally.
“We are looking at the totality of these circumstances, including any additional charges against Mr. McGraw, including the potential of whether there was conduct on the part of Mr. Trump or the Trump campaign which rose to the level of inciting a riot,” a sheriff’s attorney told The Fayetteville Observer.

What “conduct” by Trump are they referring to? It’s not immediately clear.
“Can’t we have a little more action than this?” Trump said during one interruption at the Fayetteville event. “See, in the good old days this didn’t use to happen, because they used to treat them very rough. We’ve become very weak.”
Does that sound like riot-inducing language to you?
It does to this sheriff’s attorney, apparently.
“We are concerned about a number of things in that speech,” the attorney, Ronnie Mitchell, said. “We are concerned about activity associated with that speech. That does not mean that we have decided to charge anyone.”
Trump insists his supporters are “not angry people – we’re good people.”
“We’re just tired of a government that is run incompetently,” he said.
Far left protestors have made shutting down Trump’s rallies a focal point in recent weeks – meaning they are just like the “Republican” establishment, which is also doing everything it can to blunt his campaign’s momentum.
“Please do charge him,” one Trump supporter told us. “Let the whole nation see what a bunch of idiot liberals and RINOs have taken over North Carolina, who would make the nation so mad by arresting Trump and pushing his delegate count over the top to avoid a brokered convention. And they wonder why he’s so popular.”
Indeed.
There’s absolute nothing justifying such a ridiculous charge … and if the Barney Fifes in Cumberland County see fit to follow through on their threat, our guess is they will only further galvanize Trump’s base of support.

There are a lot of smart people who vote for third party candidates or independents because they know that the two party system is bad. Dumb people have no such hesitation, dumb people get tripped up on single issues and show up to the polls to make sure their “team” wins the election bowl game so they can have bragging rights for the next four years.
The primaries are even worse since they have an even smaller portion of the voting age population taking part.

I think you are dead right. Brokered convention would be stepping over the line further than they ever have before. It would be easier for them to concede the election to Hillary. Hillary will give them 90% of what they want and it will give them another 4 to 8 years to rant against the Democrats. In the end they may only concede to a few minor things as a result.

Most of those attending Chicago were from way outside the Chicago area, coming in from Iowa, Wisconcin, Indiana, Michigan. Apparently the citizens of Chicago decided Trump wasn’t welcome.
