The socially conservative majority leader of the Indiana House of Representatives resigned this week after a bizarre sext messaging scandal.
Jud McMillin – a staunch family values “Republican” who co-sponsored Indiana’s controversial religious liberty law – stepped down earlier this week after a sexually explicit video message was sent to his entire “Contacts” list. The former prosecutor was reportedly depicted in the video having sex with a woman who was not his wife.

Not shockingly, McMillin’s defense didn’t hold up. Days later he resigned his office, saying “the time is right for me to pass the torch and spend more time with my family.”
Elected during the 2010 Tea Party wave, it was revealed shortly thereafter that McMillin had resigned his position as a deputy prosecutor years earlier for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a domestic violence victim.
The woman – Crystal Stapleton – signed a pretty sensational affidavit in connection with the allegations.
Despite the revelation – and some other unsavory anecdotes from his past – he was named majority leader in November 2014.
Oh well … it looks like McMillin’s wife, Natasha McMillin, should do just fine in the aftermath of his political implosion.

In all fairness, Will stated the first instance was with a “domestic violence” victim, not a “criminal sexual conduct/violence” victim.
These are two distinctly different charges. He is certainly very pathetic and low for preying on a vulnerable victim, and I, in no way, could possibly defend his actions. That said, I just simply think that were he to prey on a rape or sexual trauma victim, it would be the lowest of low. This appears to not be the case, as reported by Will.
