GAMECOCK QUARTERBACK DEALING WITH HIP INFECTION

|| By FITSNEWS || University of South Carolina quarterback Connor Mitch is experiencing complications from a hip injury he sustained during the Gamecocks’ season-opening win over North Carolina.

The 6-foot-3, 211-pound sophomore from Raleigh, N.C. separated his shoulder during the first half of last week’s loss to Kentucky, and is feared to be out for the season as a result of that injury.

According to reporter Phil Kornblutwriting for The (Columbia, S.C.) State newspaper – that’s the least of his problems, though.

Kornblut is reporting that Mitch was readmitted to the hospital this week after experiencing an infection in his hip – which was re-aggravated during the Kentucky game.  Not only that, he is scheduled to receive a blood transfusion this weekend after getting a bad report on his bloodwork.

Doesn’t sound good, does it?

Head coach Steve Spurrier‘s offense will turn to former walk-on quarterback Perry Orth for its SEC East showdown against the University of Georgia this weekend.  Orth completed 13 of 20 passes for 179 yards with one touchdown and one (costly) interception against the Wildcats – his first extended action as a Gamecock.

Obviously we hope the doctors figure out what’s wrong with Mitch and that he makes a speedy recovery.

Go to the hospital if you really want to be sure to get an infection. Sad but true. I hope the kid is okay.

How much longer until squishy shows up to accuse this kid of faking an infection? Unless he is all tied up on another thread commenting about racial stereotypes that is.

It’s all hype to psych out UCF. Those UCF niggers will be all weirded out that Mitch has new blood in his body and won’t want to touch him.

Is that good enough?

Are the niggers in question Jehovah Witnesses?

I hope that he recovers quickly. He was off to a slow start on the field and this will give Orth a chance to play without creating a QB controversy.
