SC Trooper Fired Over Child Porn Charges

|| By FITSNEWS || A South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) trooper in Aiken, S.C. has been fired after being indicted by the office of attorney general Alan Wilson on child pornography charges.
John Lee Marshall Lillard has been charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree and four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree. If convicted, he could face ten years in prison on each count. Lillard was arrested this week by agents of the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) – who along with local sheriff’s deputies seized computers and other “media” from his home.

Hired by the S.C. Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) in 1999, Lillard was a corporal in the SCHP’s Troop 7 – which is based in Aiken, S.C.
Obviously like anyone accused of a crime he is entitled to due process and is considered innocent until proven guilty.
