POLICE INVESTIGATING DEATH OF JACOB BALTZ AS A HOMICIDE …

|| By FITSNEWS || Greenville, S.C. police are investigating the mysterious death of a popular local bartender.

According to Fox Carolina, 37-year-old Jacob Baltz was found dead in his apartment on March 25 – the victim of blunt force trauma to the head.

“Police said they responded to his apartment after friends had not seen or heard from him in several days,” the station reported.  “When they went to investigate, the responding officer peered through the glass patio door and saw a person lying on the floor.”

Police believe Baltz died two days earlier – March 23 – and that his fatal injuries were sustained the day before that during an altercation at a friend’s house.

Bizarre, huh?  Indeed …

Greenville coroner Bobby Evans‘ office has officially ruled Baltz’s death as a homicide – and police are investigating it as such.  They’ve also asked anyone with information about Baltz’s death to contact CrimeStoppers at 864-23-CRIME.

I knew him. My Jazz band has played at Chicora Alley many times. He was a good guy.

I couldn’t resist looking you up Squishy. I don’t waste a lot of time in comments sections of articles, but Jacob was a friend to many including me.

Squishy123- here’s an old post from you:

“Are you really going to talk about how people earn a living? As much
time as you spend on this blog, I seriously doubt you have a job.”

Jacob was a great guy. He was kind and made friends easily. People like squishy aren’t kind and probably have no friends and are obviously sick in the head.

“Bartender, the career path of college drop outs.”
Do you ever have anything positive to say about anything?

At 37 years old, I think he’s probably past trying to get that degree.

Probably true, but I do know some that go back even in their 40’s 50’s to get a degree because they can’t move up without one.

I do think times are changing, but…

How does one become a popular bartender? Cater to drunks and alcoholics??? I wonder how soon before we see headlines stating that a popular pizza deliveryman or garbage man dies.

Pineapple Twist April 1, 2015 at 11:09 am

They are people too. Why wouldn’t you care about a bartender? What people do as a job, does not define who they are.

There are multiple articles with headlines of a pizza delivery boy dying.

Jacob had difficult circumstances growing up. His mom passed away when he was just a toddler. His dad died from a long tragic struggle with ALS when Jacob was in I think his teens.
I thought the world of his whole family. I think Jacob did what he could with what life dealt him.
There are plenty in South Carolina who don’t finish college but are working and paying their own way.
