CATHY HAZELWOOD LEAVING POST AT S.C. STATE ETHICS COMMISSION

|| By FITSNEWS || Poor Cathy Hazelwood. On those rare occasions when she – as the top staffer at the S.C. State Ethics Commission (SCSEC) – tried to hold politicians accountable for their actions, her superiors overruled her.

No wonder she was ready to get the hell out of dodge …

And this week’s shenanigans were apparently the final straw …

According to our sources, Hazelwood will be leaving the SCSEC to take a position with incoming superintendent of education Molly Spearman.

No word yet on who might replace her, but if you think it matters … LOL.

“Elected officials in South Carolina (in all branches of government) are able to do as they please … free from accountability and free from the consequences of their actions,” we wrote earlier this week. ” It’s a perfect example of what happens when those who make the laws abuse their authority.  It’s also why shamelessly self-serving politicians like S.C. governor Nikki Haley are able to get away with their chronic hypocrisy on ‘ethics reform‘ and ‘transparency in government.'”

Bottom line?

It’s all rigged, people …

Some days we don’t even know why we try …
