“REPUBLICANS” CHALLENGE DEMOCRATS TO FOLLOW SUIT …

By FITSNEWS || Staffers to “Republican” Senators in Washington, D.C. will be required to sign up for Obamacare under a resolution passed by U.S. Sen. David Vitter of Louisiana.  News of the move was first reported by Elise Viebeck of The Hill.

Under the rule, Senators may no longer classify their staffers as “unofficial” – thus enabling them to remain in the Federal Employee Health Benefits Program (and out of Obamacare).

“Republican senators made a strong, principled statement today in passing my resolution,” Vitter said in a statement accompanying the passage of his rule. “Washington should have to live under Obamacare just like everybody else until we repeal it. And we won’t be complicit in Obama’s illegal rule designed to protect Washington insiders.”

Vitter’s rule only applies to staffers of GOP Senators … although he challenged Democrats to follow suit.

Will they?

Who knows … and at the end of the day, who really cares.  When you get right down to it Vitter’s effort – while commendable – is all about creating a talking point.

The real menace is still out there …

Until the Legislature themselves have to live under the laws they create, it matters not. They scarcely care more for their staffers than the general public, so it’s a non issue in the big picture.

Implementing the IGNORANCE of Democrat policy is the QUICKEST way to kill it.

Well, fortunately the GOP House just funded it through Open Enrollment 2015. So I guess it’s here to stay now. Thanks John Boehner.

Obamacare is going up in flames and a record high 58% are for REPEAL.
Need 60 votes for repeal. Pubs win two ways-if senate Dems up for re-election in 2016 vote for repeal , great. it will be gone. If they don’t then they lose their senate seat-at least 7 of them.

SCOTUS gonna dump it anyway. Pubs will try and strip it of Medical Device tax and individual/employer mandate prior.

Immigration is tougher. Need the White House to reverse these executive orders by comrade Obama.

Hey Bob, I have an idea. You know, I get my insurance quietly paid for by the gas and chemical industry that pollutes the environment back home in Scuz-bucket Parish. But anyway, since it won’t hurt me, or my wife (or the prostitutes I sleep with) – let’s make our staff get Obamacare.
But David, what if they get it and like it?
Who cares. It makes me look good for my plans to be Governor.

Good point, but if you only realized how polluted the environment was before the gas and chemical industry made wood cooking, wood heating and many other home industries obsolete.

But we heat our home with a wood burning stove.
EPA says were are “carbon neutral”.
That a good thang or a bad thang?

Thank you, I shall!
I especially enjoy the feel of the AMERICAN MADE chainsaw in my hand, and the aroma of the synthetic two stroke oil in the exhaust!

No. Wood stoves release hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), fine particle pollution (ash), and volatile organic compounds (VOC).
http://www.epa.gov/airquality/community/details/i-woodstoves_addl_info.html#activity2
They are also inefficient with much of the heat going out the chimney.
It is “carbon neutral” only if trees are replanted.

My point is that in places of human settlement, once industry matures, industrial areas have cleaner environments than pre industrial or newly industrialized areas. Many industrial areas of China are next to home coal burning neighborhoods.

Doh, You may to check out the “efficiency” rating on these stoves now.
Also, I have NEVER cut down a tree.
And the neighbors absolutely LOVE IT when we are burning apple.

Bible Thumper December 11, 2014 at 9:25 pm

Ok. I won’t demonize wood burners. You don’t demonize gas and chemical companies.
