By FITSNEWS || The Clemson (S.C.) University chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon has “suspended all activity indefinitely following an inappropriate theme party organized by several of its members at a private, off-campus residence.”

They’re referring, obviously, to “Clemson Cripmas” – a gathering that featured white students posing as black gang members.  It’s a variation on the “pimps and hoes” party them white fraternities and sororities have been hosting for decades.

“The decision of a few brothers to hold this type of social event is inexcusable and completely inappropriate,” a statement from the fraternity’s national organization read.  “Furthermore, their behavior in no way reflects the values and creed of the fraternity, and we apologize to campus and local community for their actions because we teach our brothers to be leaders, scholars and, most importantly, gentlemen.”

According to the statement, the fraternity’s Clemson leaders have either voluntarily resigned or been suspended.  Members who attended the event may also face suspensions.

Blacks students claimed the “Clemson Cripmas” party is an extension of a culture of racism at the school – which is situated on the former plantation of one of the nation’s most famous slavery advocates.  In fact these students – who met with Clemson president Jim Clements in the aftermath of the party – believe the gathering was a response to their protests of police shootings in Staten Island, New York and Ferguson, Missouri which involved black victims.

Wow…who knew gang members would be sympathized with over frat boys?

Our country is going through a major culture change when we have to apologize to gang members.

Fuck the gang members, and the frat members too.

As long as fraternities are part of a college that is state supported, the state can be made a defendant in a lawsuit. We the taxpayer then get to pay the damaged person if he wins. Why? I think frats should be kicked out of colleges, and made to carry their own liability insurance as an off-campus entity. Frats are a pain in the ass, do stupid things, and hurt young students from time to time. I used to belong to one and it was a dumb ass group of losers.

Paying for the honor of having the “right” friends is great preparation for those planning on doing business with government.

Most fraternities pay for their own liability/risk insurance and trust me, that’s why dues are so damn high in the first place.

A state can only be made a defendant if it consents to be sued. The whole “sovereign immunity” and 11th Amendment thing protects it otherwise.

But they can still have Meth-Madness white trailer trash themed parties – right?

What if it was a Mafia gang themed party? Would Italian-Americans be overly upset?

I guarantee you there would be no butt hurt fraternities to complain about any national Pan-Hellenic Council fraternity having a “white cracker party” where they tweeted a picture of themselves drinking bourbon, wearing polo shirts and boat shoes. Because RAYCISSSSS!!!!

You know what’s weird about the whole “boat shoes” thing? It’s like these kids get out of their teenage years, when most boys are smelly & lacking in hygiene generally….with some social awkwardness, only to go around campus in boat shoes without socks all day long.

Who the hell likes the smell of unwashed feet all day long? How desperate is a sorority chick for cock that she’ll take a bone on bed with sheets that haven’t been washed for months, with all her/his friends creeping around the corner, all the while gagging on the smell of unwashed feet?

Well the in thing now is the boat shoes with black socks up to your knees, while wearing the faggiest looking plaid shorts. I see Grande Tango wearin’ them all the time.

As liberal as I am, even I can’t figure out how this is offensive to any sane person. They weren’t in blackface. It’s stupid and juvenile, but the outrage is just stupid.

Just part of a “take-down” culture that now prevails on the left AND the right.

As a conservative and fairly strict mother of a student who participated, I believe this is a good lesson for the students to see how the media blows things out of proportion. The themed gathering, one of probably several a month, is hardly tasteless and in know way do I feel they need to be disciplined or treated like criminals. If that is the case, Halloween costume partied should be banned.

The Crips are not and exclusively black organization. It’s racist for the black demographic to think that only blacks are worthy of membership.

SAE = Same Assholes Everywhere. When I was in college (an expensive, theoretically selective one), the few times a rape became known around campus, the SAE tower was almost always the scene of the crime.

Prominent advocate of slavery or not, native peoples hold General Pickens in high regard, for his having negotiated the Treaty of Hopewell. Cherokee call him “Skyagunsta”, meaning “Border Wizard Owl.” Joseph Martin, with whom I share ancestry, was also a major party to that treaty. Hell, even “Pitchfork Ben” Tillman mellowed out, Thurmond-style, in his later years, and actually led a movement to bring an end to lynching. Something never mentioned by those who want to take down his statue at the State House in Columbia. But these students are by no means in tune with the better natures of either men. They’re just drunken young idiots.

How late in life did old Ben “mellow out”. He died in 1918.

In 1901, after President Theodore Roosevelt dined in the White house with Booker T. Washington. Upon learning on of this Senator Tillman said, “The action of President Roosevelt in entertaining that nigger will necessitate our killing a thousand niggers in the South before they learn their place again”

That probably makes it unlikely anyone except KKK members are ever going to admit he deserves a statue at the State House.

Granted, that was not mellow of him, one bit. He was having maybe a Michael Richards moment? Just kidding. That’s some evil talk right there. Reminds me of how progressive Dem Woodrow Wilson stated that D.W. Griffith’s virulently racist epic movie “Birth of a Nation” (which championed the KKK and cast white people in blackface as “happy darkies” on the plantation who turned to evil rapists of white women after being freed from slavery, etc.) was a great and true representation of history. Those were days when “Jim Crow” was seriously beginning to take hold. Democrats in the South dug in their heels on it, and as the example of Wilson’s surprising words shows, it was not widely opposed by Dems nationally. FDR was so beholden to Southern Dems for supporting his New Deal that he had to be practically dragged screaming and kicking by Eleanor to even slightly champion any form of civil rights for formerly enslaved people and their children and grandchildren.

But anyway, the fact remains that before leaving the governor’s mansion, Tillman caused a sweeping anti-lynching section to be added to the SC Constitution. It provided that any given county where lynching might occur would be required to pay just compensation/reparations to the victim’s family — and that any government official who condoned or assisted the mob’s action would be removed from office. It became the model for Federal anti-lynching laws to come.

In my opinion, he most certainly does not deserve that statue. It should be a bigger issue than the flag, in fact. Just pointing out how even the worst pols sometimes do surprisingly good things. George Wallace is another example of that.

Yeah. And old Woodrow was all about world brotherhood and such, but keeping some of the brothers under the heels of the elite ones and assuring that they always maintained supposedly “separate but equal” underclass status never, apparently, seemed like a contradiction to him.

In an “eminem world”, this is about as weak of a racist charge as there is. Thus, I’d not only not apologize to anyone for this, I’d dare any state a$$hole to suspend me over my first amendment right to such a party… lawsuits would certainly follow if they did.
