Just twenty-one hours before kickoff, Florida State University announced that defending Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston would miss the entire game Saturday evening against No. 24 Clemson.
Not just the first half …
Previously the school suspended Winston for the first half of the Clemson game for yelling a vulgarity on campus.

The school did not say whether its decision to increase Winston’s suspension was related to that incident …
Clemson and FSU are scheduled to kick off at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The game will be televised nationally by ABC. The Seminoles (2-0, 0-0 ACC) opened the week as three touchdown favorites over the Tigers (1-1, 0-0 ACC).

It won’t matter for Clemson – FSU has so much talent on both sides of the ball that this will still be a 2+ touchdown victory for them.
It’s still eight hours until kickoff. Maybe Rashad Greene will be suspended.

Generally when you bench someone they still have to show up as if they were going to play. The idea is that having to ride the bench while dressed out and everyone knowing you’re not going to play is more humiliating/humbling.
In Winston’s case, all the camera time made sure that he didn’t get the message.
Fisher didn’t look that amused. Winston is just a dumbass, and may just end up squandering his lottery ticket…
With all that he’s been involved in over the last two years, he should have had a four game suspension. Stealing coke, seafood, alleged rape and now this. One suspension per offense. Game doesn’t matter.

Gotta love FSU – say “Shit” and you’re suspended for a game against a weak team. Rape someone – you get to play for the National Championship and an NFL contract.
