WISCONSIN GOVERNOR ALLEGEDLY PARTICIPATED IN ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker stands accused of participating in a “criminal scheme” to illegally coordinate fundraising activities for himself and other Republicans during his historic 2012 recall election.

Walker became the first governor in American history to survive a recall election in 2012, defeating liberal Milwaukee mayor Tom Barrett by a 53-46 percent margin.

That win is now being called into question by special prosecutor appointed in 2013 to investigate allegations of illegal coordination between Walker, former George W. Bush strategist Karl Rove, various national groups and numerous Wisconsin campaigns.

“The evidence shows an extensive coordination scheme that pervaded nearly every aspect of the campaign activities during the historic 2011 and 2012 Wisconsin Senate and Gubernatorial recall elections,” special prosecutor Francis Schmitz argues in court documents released this week.

Schmitz alleges a “wide-ranging scheme to coordinate activities of several organizations with various candidate committees to thwart attempts to recall Wisconsin Senate and Gubernatorial candidates.”

“That coordination included a nationwide effort to raise undisclosed funds for an organization which then funded the activities of other organizations supporting or opposing candidates subject to recall,” he adds.

Hmmmm …

Walker has professed his innocence – and has not been charged by authorities. Although it certainly appears as though that’s the direction in which this scandal is moving …

This website has always had a positive view of Walker – even after he came to Greenville, S.C. last year to endorse the 2014 reelection bid of faux conservative S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley.

Unlike Haley, Walker cut public sector salaries and moved to force government employees to pay more of their health care and retirement. He also aggressively targeted collective bargaining for public employees and moved to make any future pay raises they received conditional on voter approval.

In fact Walker’s aggressiveness in taking on public sector unions positioned him as one of the GOP’s leading prospects for the 2016 presidential election.  Of course Walker is tight with Rove, the crony capitalist Koch Brothers and other establishment GOP icons … which could wind up being his undoing.

If that happens, Walker would join New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie as prospective 2016 GOP presidential candidates scarred by scandal.

Here in the Palmetto State, Democrats moved quickly to link Walker with Haley …

“Nikki Haley traveled to Wisconsin to help Walker with that recall election,” S.C. Democratic Party spokeswoman Kristin Sosanie said in a statement. “Then, Walker joined Haley in South Carolina this past August to re-launch her election campaign.”

Sosanie speculated that “given Nikki Haley’s vast record of self-serving unethical behavior, she and Walker must have been sharing tricks of the unethical trade all along.”

“As the details continue to emerge, one question remains: Will Nikki Haley stand up against this kind of criminal behavior and say she will no longer campaign with Scott Walker?” she added.

This is nothing new. Prosecutors from several counties are trying hurt Walker before the November election. Judge has already prevented them from indictments before. This is more election season shenanigans. No indictments !!! End of story.

And I remember how he sucked to the caller, thinking he was real.

The important point is that he didn’t incriminate himself.

Yes, I guess to politicians that is the important thing. Did I get away with it? These pacs are a cancer, killing our political system. This is the reason we need transparency as to who is giving money to whom and where that money comes from.

Walker is a crook no doubt. But yes he probably gets away with it.

Public employee unions are what are corrupt. With both there votes and collective bargaining power they controlled local government. If Walker hadn’t of defeated them, Wisconsin would of ended up like Detroit, bankrupt.

Did you notice how union participation dropped substantially after it was no longer compulsory? The unions can even keep their own members when free will is applied

He sure did in his email to Rove.

Members of Walker’s County Executive staff have already copped pleas for using government resources for his first campaign.
So, when this new stuff came up, it was reasonable to investigate. The judge who stopped the investigation and ordered the compiled information destroyed is a regular attendee at the Koch conferences that Scalia and Thomas and Trikki Nikki attend to suck up.

Do your homework Bubba! One court has already ruled Walker did not violate the law and the Democrats are appealing to a higher court while they are destroying evidence for the IRS.
We need to start forming Militia’s in every community because it is coming.

Don’t worry, Scott. It’s only a matter of time before the conservatives on the Supreme Court legalize what you did.

Do I understand this correctly? In a recall election there is no opposing candidate, so all the opposition can coordinate their campaign against him. But those in favor of the governor can’t coordinate their campaign with him. SOUNDS FAIR:-)

Reply
BrigidBernadette June 20, 2014 at 11:51 am

And of course the unions opposing him didn’t ‘coordinate’ with anyone outside of Wis. None of it makes any sense, it’s transparent political revenge.

Oh! Yeah! And if he is up for re-election and he broke the law to be elected in the first place, why should that be investigated?!?

Reply
Bible Thumper June 21, 2014 at 10:00 am

There will be no indictment and it will be quietly dropped after the election.

Rocky's Analysis June 20, 2014 at 12:25 pm

Actually this one is quite serious. That the PACs and third parties coordinate with the campaigns is pretty common place. It’s when that coordination takes place. For example, in 2012 Mitt and Company strategically designated which PACs they would build out, and how those funds would be used to attack any challangers (ask Sweater Vest Santorum) – but, once the campaing started, the guy who runs the cash leaves the campaign, with his marching orders, and then does the dirty work. There’s no need to have to email him. In Walker’s case he spent all his remaining campaign cash on legal fees to defeat the recall petitions, and lost. THen he was flat footed and out of cash – so he coordinated with Rove and folks after the campaign started. And that’s a violation of the law. I bet Karl is just peachy happy that email came out. Hurts Walker because folks in WI will have him tainted as a law breaker (which he is). Hurts Rove because the donor class will give money to other groups instead of his, reducing his influence over GOP politics. Rove just retires, but Walker is probably out.

Wow: Reagan toppled the Soviet Communists, and they set up shop in the US democrat party.

Liberals think they can punish Americans Citizens with the IRS, if they don’t vote how Obama demands. But if two Republicans, who agree, talk to each other, the democrats try to indict.

Good God. You people better wake up and stop these hideous Gestapo monsters. You may hate Conservatives and successful government as much as they do. But it won’t be long until they come after you. And if you are a liberal, you are the epitome of selfishness. You are not going to like it, when you figure out Obama is a lair, and they’ll take what you have, after they’ve used up what they take from us.

In FACT the BITCH that is a welfare queen and calls herself a mother , works for a family that has been CONVICTED of crime(s). A typical Democrat- a welfare mentality and associating with criminal’s in order to F*#k the system.
