MICHAEL LUPPE PROMISES TO “REVERSE TREND OF LATE REPORTING”

South Carolina Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom was late in filing South Carolina’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the second straight year. Due by January 31, historical precedent is that the report should be submitted by December 31. This disclosure is a major component in how credit rating agencies determine our state’s credit rating.

Last year, the report was not submitted until June. Michael Luppe promises to do the job expected of the comptroller and reverse the trend of late reporting. South Carolina needs a Comptroller we can trust.

“This is the second straight year the CAFR was turned in late. I’m a businessman, and in the private sector, if you consistently underperform and you’re late on reports, you’re shown the door. Plain and simple.”

“The incumbent’s consistent late reporting puts our state’s credit rating at risk. This is unacceptable. South Carolinians need to know that they can trust their elected officials to do what they were elected to do. We clearly cannot count on Richard Eckstrom.”

Michael Luppe is a businessman from Hartsville, SC and is running for the Republican nomination to be South Carolina’s Comptroller General.

Until my GOP grows a set, stops it’s hypocricy and gets rid of the reprobates, adulterers, cheats and ethicly challenged amoung us, we need to cease our votes for the failures accepted by the establishment GOPer’s:
Mark Sanford
Richard Eckstrom Nikki Haley
Larry Martin Brian White
Hugh Leatherman Luke Rankin
Harvey Peeler Joe Wilson
Bob Peeler Bobby Harrell
We are no better than the Democrats with:
Bill Clinton Hillary Clinton
John Edwards Jim Cluburn
Nancy Pelosi Harry Reid
Barak Obama Henry Waxman
Anthony Weiner Chuck Shumer

Ehh, Bill Clinton wasn’t that bad, unless you’re referring to him porking various other ladies. Even then, man, come on, if you were married to Hillary…

Eckstrom is a disaster and the GOP must get rid of him. Slack at work and a pervert too.

Luppe hasn’t stayed committed to any position of employment, why would he as CG? A businessman creates a business, not a sales rep for elevators — http://www.linkedin.com/pub/michael-luppe/13/69/851

It would be an accountant wannabee that would file it by the preferred statutory time period if all agency’s of the State, which the Comptroller does not control, don’t turn in their numbers in on time. Thank goodness we have a CPA in that office that knows the importance of good data. This probably won’t be published by a webmaster who is more fettished by his dreams of the governor and other women and even men, than by his understanding of fiscal issues.

Besides T-Rav, what other male ‘fetishes’ does he have?

Really now, Fiscal Conservative, you have to admit that Eckstrom is one of the sleaziest politicians we have in office. Sexual harassment, use of state vehicles for personal pleasure, sordid affairs, atrocious work habits, astounding arrogance, etc. etc. Late reports are just another indicator of this walking insult to the public. We can easily do better.

Accuracy over haste, webmaster, accuracy over haste. It helps all the time, especially when the taxpayers deserve – and in this case get – a proper report. Mr. Webmaster, can you articulate how the taxpayers are hurt by this Comptroller General waiting for and insisting on good data to file the report? If so, please expound. And if you try to do so, please do it without sexual induendos which only serve to underscore your weird fettishes. You were once one of Eckstrom’s biggest supporters. What changed? Certainly not his conservative credentials. He is conservative to the core!

how did filing tax returns late damage Trikki Nikki?

Reply

Ratings agencies see late filings as a structural weakness in the State’s ability to manage its affairs, thusly, SC may pay more money to build roads, schools, etc

This is a dumb ass comment Mr Fiscal Conservative. if Eckstrom feels he does not have to abide by the rules he should say so, and then waive the rules for the rest of us.

Why does SC need both a Comptroller and Treasurer?

Would SC suffer if the two positions were consolidated?

Well, as Eckstrom would likely tell you, the last thing he wants to do is finish too quickly.

Where has Michael Luppe been in the FITSNEWS comment section…?

He gets a quote in an article but yet fails to “man up” transparently…?

He must be an Ekstrom “flanking” …..lackey…!!

Luppe is too busy selling elevators (Businessman?) I think not…

My cousin is a cashier at Big Lots (does that make him a businessman?)

In the real world of business, you’d be fired for consistently turning in late reports.
