SC Calendar: Midlands Recycling Event

Keep the Midlands Beautiful in partnership with the Town of Irmo will be hosting an electronics waste recycling and Shred event on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The recycling event will be held at Crossroads Middle School, located at 6949 St Andrew Rd, Columbia SC 29212.

Shred With Us, will be on-site for shredding.

The following electronics will be accepted for recycling from both Lexington and Richland County residents:

• Computers (laptops, monitors, CPU’s, keyboards, printers, scanners)
• TV’s
• Copiers
• VCR and DVD Players
• Fax Machines
• Telephone Systems
• Cell Phones
• Household electronics including stereos, Radio’s, PDA’s and Electronic Game Systems

Electronic Waste must be recycled and not placed in the garbage in accordance with the SC Code of Law, 48-60-05 et seq. Residents should keep electronics intact for the purpose of recycling. Please, NO Freon units of any kind.
