Hal Johnson – who was one of S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley’s early favorites to lead economic development efforts at the statewide level – has been let go from his position as a regional recruiter.

Johnson’s resignation was announced in a terse statement from the Upstate Alliance – the group he has led since 2006.

“The Upstate SC Alliance, a 10-county economic development organization designed to market the Upstate region, has announced today the resignation of their President and CEO, effective December 31, 2013,” the release stated.

Johnson’s name was omitted from the release – and he has thus far refused to comment about his departure from the group.

Hmmmm …

What gives?

“(Johnson) was told earlier this year that his main job was to find another job … which he was blatantly and indiscreetly doing for months,” one of our Upstate sources says. “But, since he couldn’t find one, his board told him it was time for him to move on anyway.”

“Crony Capitalism” is how the class war starts… first the losers deny the property owners the right to profit through ‘unfair’ practices, and then they start bagging on them for profiting on the misery of others.

Before long, you end up with socialism, gay rape rooms and more hurricanes.

If you want to preserve our heritage, I suggest you look the other way.

Yeah, you only like government money going to what you want it to go to, like charter schools and vouchers/tax credits.
