U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) will travel to Charleston, S.C. next week to address a private gathering of Republican donors.

Gohmert – described by our sources in the Lone Star State as a “grassroots favorite” – will discuss “the way forward after the shutdown and the crisis in GOP leadership.” Which should be pretty interesting because as far as we’re concerned the only way forward for any politician wearing an “R” behind their name is self-immolation.

(Pause for those educated in South Carolina’s government-run schools to look up that word …)

Anyway, Gohmert is attending “The Charleston Meeting,” an invitation-only event organized by GOP gadfly Mallory Factor.

Also speaking? S.C. Treasurer Curtis Loftis, whose battle with the corrupt, money-losing S.C. Retirement System Investment Commission (SCRSIC) rages on.

While South Carolina may be too small to be a republic, it apparently is not too large to be an asylum.

Wonder if Nikki got an invite? Was speaking to a high ranking employee of budget and control, and they referred to her as “scum of the earth”.

FITS you are a colossal douche. When, and if, this state ever reaches a level of sanity, you will be looked upon with the scorn and derision you so richly deserve. But — for now at least — you have a platform to appeal to the ignorant crazy voters of this state.

How do I get an invitation? All that brainpower in one room should be awesome–the echo alone would be worth it. Mallory Factor moved here from New York because they caught on to him. He knew we never would.

This guy is the genius who came up with the “terror baby” story that Al Qaeda operatives were impregnating women and sending them as illegal immigrants into the U.S. so there will be a cadre of home-grown terrorists in the future. You just can’t make up a story like that…oh, I guess you can. He said an FBI agent told him this. The FBI said he’s full of shit.

The GOP “donors” are welcome to him. They deserve him.

This is one dumb motherfucker. And the new GOP leadership, those on the far extreme right of the right wing in the GOP, look to this brainless boob as one of their standard bearers. Almost tempted to say we should let these assholes have their way to let them see how awful life would become but that wouled lead to the destruction of the U.S. Though these kind of nuts prefer to never have their policies adopted so they can appear on Hannity and howl at the moon.

Golmert is on the cutting edge of the new crazy. It’s not easy to maintain that persona 24/7, but somehow, he’s managed to do it. Down here in Texas we like that kind of consistency.

At the Values Voter Summit, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) spoke about “some senator from Arizona” who, he contends, “supported Al Qaeda.”

The thinly veiled reference to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was not lost on the crowd, which applauded as Rep. Gohmert berated “a guy who liked Gaddafi before he wanted to bomb him, a guy who liked Mubarak before he wanted him out, a guy that’s been to Syria and supported Al Qaeda and the rebels.”

Yeah, McCain – that melanin-challenged POW that ran against Obama with the snow-ditz, catapulting her into the slimelight, and lost. Has anyone ever doubted the thinly veiled sedition he wraps so carefully in the flag? Not Louie!

Representative Louie Gohmert, Republican of Texas, who recently equated giving $1.5 billion in aid to the Morsi government with support for terrorists.”

The clip shows Gohmert on the House floor saying the Obama administration was sending $1.5 billion in aid to Egypt — “not in humanitarian aid, not food — military aid.”

On Egyptian TV, there are Arabic subtitles and dramatic music plays in the background. According to Google Translate, the title reads, “Congressman exposes Obama’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood.”

$1.2 billion of the American aid is military assistance, and it goes to the Egyptian government, whether it was Hosni Mubarak’s or Mohammed Morsi’s or, controversially, the current government after the military coup. Many Egyptians believe the U.S. is backing the Muslim Brotherhood, even if they can’t explain why:

“Americans are with the Muslim Brotherhood,” Farouq stated in a tone suggesting that it was common knowledge. “O.K., you did something good when you killed Osama bin Laden, but now you are with Al Qaeda. You support the terrorists.”

he also made the singularly weird comparison of General Abdel Fatah el-Sissi, leader of the Morisi military coup, to George Washington

Another example is his “terror babies” idea, where Gohmert repeatedly claimed that terrorists were impregnating women, sending them to the US, waiting for the babies to be born as “anchor babies,” flying them back to wherever they came from, waiting twenty to thirty years so the babies can grow up and be trained as terrorists, and then sending them back to the US where they can gain easy entry to blow up the country. He first introduced this idea in a speech on the House floor in 2010.

In a speech delivered to a Longview Chamber of Commerce in Texas, Gohmert voiced his fears that “Radical Islamists” were infiltrating the United States by impersonating Latinos

he’s opposed to vaccination because liberal elites are culling the earth’s human population through their use in order to preserve natural resources

Yet McCain DID want to arm terrorists in Syria, and WAS photographed with them.

Well YEAH! right? I know… and I’ll bet I called it before YOU! When he was running against Obama, I was the lone voice in the audience saying “NO! It’s McCAIN!!! He’s the *real* terrorist here!

McCain was a terrorist before he was against terrorism… Now, what’s really going to bake your noodle – Bush and Cheney were terrorists TOO!
