With no explanation or apparent motivation a dental hygienist from Stamford, Connecticut slammed her Infiniti sedan into a U.S. Secret Service agent who was manning a White House barricade – sending him rolling over the hood of her car and onto the concrete.
She then peeled off into the streets of Washington, D.C. with police in hot pursuit.
Miriam Carey, whose one-year-old daughter was in the car with her the whole time, made it all the way to the U.S. Capitol – where she flattened another barricade outside a Senate office building before being fatally shot by federal law enforcement agents.
In fact Carey was fired upon numerous times by Secret Service agents and U.S. Capitol Police – at a traffic circle on the Southwest side of the Capitol complex and again outside the Senate office building.
Carey’s daughter emerged from the vehicle unscathed … somehow.
Yeah. Is this the ultimate “WTF?” story or what, people?

Carey, 34, split time between Stamford and Brooklyn for her work – which included doing dental work for Connecticut’s state prison system. ABC News reported she had “a history of mental health issues,” although it’s not immediately clear what those issues were.
Those who knew Carey expressed disbelief and shock.
“That’s impossible. She works, she holds a job,” her sister told The Washington Post.
“She seemed like a nice young lady, stable,” one of Carey’s Brooklyn neighbors told The New York Daily News. “I’m shocked. I would have never, never thought that she would do something like this. I can’t believe it.”

Well, she used to, anyway; her vote will certainly be counted in November. Thank goodness for early voting. She must have been driving home from the polls. Long ago it was election day, then election week, then election month, hell, why not just vote whenever the spirit moves you? Don’t want to ask those monkeys to jump through too many hoops.
An even more effective plan, and one that would assist the poor, infirm, aged, young, those without any form of picture ID, brown, black, tan, and those without access to an automobile, would be to let them vote for the Democrat candidate twice at each election. That way, they would only have to be horribly inconvenienced once every eight years.

Through computerized reconstruction techniques and available evidence, they basically confirmed the late Senator’s account of the wreck. They did, however, determine that Kennedy’s car was travelling in excess of 117 mph at the time of the crash.

That was some pretty good driving to have been shot multiple times. She PWND those Capital Police. The whole situation is strange. The dyke DC Cop wouldn’t say she died, just that she was pronounced!
At least she could have gotten a firearm.
Why was there any need to shoot her? There are other ways to stop a car, heavy handed macho behavior from the people “protecting” you.
I think you’re right. I bet if they would have asked “very nicely” for her not to crash through anymore barricades or into cop cars this incident would have ended without loss of life. Perhaps had the suspect sent in a bio and a brief description of her intentions before hand this could have all been handled cordially.
I would suggest to anyone in the future who has the urge to crash barricades and crash into cop cars to avoid doing it in front of the White house or the US Capitol. I think the capital police and secret service have a very low tolerance for idiots wrapped in a 3500 pound projectile.

The heroes in blue saved everyone from an unarmed, mentally ill single mother.
Who knows what havoc she could have wrought if she wasn’t shot. Spike strips, shooting out her tires, or demonstrating some driving skill in boxing her in clearly was beyond those involved.
