Columbia, SC – After Governor Haley announced her bid for re-election at a pitifully small rally in Greenville this week, the South Carolina Democratic Party launched NikkiHaleyFacts.com to help voters get the real facts of how South Carolina has fared under Nikki Haley and what four more years would mean for middle-class families and businesses in the state.

“Nikki Haley has been an utter failure for South Carolina, its people and its businesses. They deserve to know the facts as they consider whether she deserves a second term,” said Jaime Harrison, SCDP Chairman. “Haley’s failures are ever-present in the lives of South Carolina’s families – every hour when they worry about their jobs and making ends meet, every day when they drive to work on crumbling roads, every month when they have to check their credit report hoping their identity hasn’t been stolen, and every year when they send their children back to still-struggling schools. Governor Haley has not earned a second term in office.”

Wow, looks to me like she is spotless compared to Hussein Obamas record of being corrupt. I expect this comment to be deleted of course.

Haley has been awful and there is plenty of evidence to support my opinion. Haley is more interested in climbing up the republican ladder than bettering SC and most of her supporters seem to want that for her. Sheheen, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to have those national aspirations and would most likely be a better choice for South Carolinians. But, alas, many voters in SC will simply cast a ballot for the Republican party candidate with no regard to her actual track record. Her re-election is all but assured.

And there is someone better? Who is actually running? Vince Sheheen? Sure, he will put the brakes on spending and run a more efficient, accountable business friendly executive branch. He will respect the rule of law, put competence ahead of politics, and root out the cronies and crooks that infest our state government. Yeah, right. Haley’s bad, but Vince will be worse. Not the first time I have held my nose and voted. Won’t be the last either.
