In case you haven’t noticed the wall of waves on our website’s home page, we are taking the week off.
That’s right … the whole week. How exactly can the largest, most influential new media outlet in the state do that? It’s easy, really … in fact it takes absolutely no effort whatsoever.
Anyway (cue vacation language) even though we won’t be posting from July 13-21, we’ll be keeping a list of the stories we need to break/ cover/ comment on upon our return … so please keep sending your tips, links, comments, questions and suggestions via email or use our new Tip Wire if you prefer sending information anonymously.
We’ll be keeping tabs on all of those submissions …
Also, Sic will be randomly updating his Twitter and Facebook pages while he’s gone … so be sure to sign up for his tweets or “friend” him if you haven’t done so already.
And one final note … not long after Sic’s return on July 21st we will be unveiling FITS 3.0, the latest iteration of our ongoing experiment in new media. The upgrade – which is being beta-tested as we speak – will represent a major leap forward for us, and we look forward to sharing it with you not long after we get back.

I went to Myrtle Beach on my honeymoon in 1981. Stayed at a place called the Tropical Winds. My parents recommended it. Got there and went down to take a dip in the heated indoor swimming pool (it was January). Jumped in and swam underwater. When I surfaced, I shook the water from my head and eyes and focused on the surface of the pool.
There were literally hundreds of little yellowish floating balls of phlegm dotting the entire surface of the pool from one end to another. They must have bussed in a TB ward from the local hospital. It was gross beyond description. We immediately got a refund and got the hell out of there.
I referred to the place as the Tropical Snot from that day forth.

Rumor: Sheriff Metts was seen with multiple vehichles cleaning our memrobilia and personal belongings, from Sheriff’s dept., in the middle of the night.
The rumor I have heard is the Metts is one of Jean Toal’s protected ones as far as state prosecution goes. When Jakie went down, so to speak, the Feds have backed off on all but a few piddlin’ ones over in Lexington County. I will be very surprised if Metts does anything more than retire.
That is part of the rumor, Metts lawyer (Vinton D. Lyde) is working on an agreement for lesser charges and let Metts retire, as honorable as possible.
Also, that Metts and Frazier are very upset that their associates T. James, B. Peeler, and their women etc. have dropped them like a hot rock. But, J. owens and R. Halfacre are hanging with them. Maybe they will all hang together! Buzzards probably won’t even pick their bones.
A concern, though not apparently a problem at this stage, is that Richard Breibart is singing like the proverbial canary.
