National Republicans bailed on U.S. Rep. Mark Sanford during his successful comeback campaign earlier this year – and he’s been receiving a chilly reception from national conservative groups since he was elected.
Sanford will attempt to hop back on this horse this week when he addresses the Washington, D.C. Young Republicans organization, which we can only assume is one of the most easily impressionable assemblages of intellectually incurious hacks on the planet.
Think keg party/ cliche factory …
Anyway, Sanford has been known to dispense straight talk on the status of the American Republic (and the starring role many “Republicans” have played in its demise). Seriously … that whole “tipping point of civilization” thing is a nice turn of phrase.
How will that rhetoric play with the former Romney Youth in our nation’s capital? Oh … and will he bring his Latin lover turned fiancee?
Oh … and when are those two crazy kids going to tie the knot? It’s been almost a year since they announced their engagement …
Guess we’ll find out soon …

They perhaps see their 12 year acquaintance as an enduring love but what we have seen regarding their concept of marital fidelity and commitment, the actual ceremony could be quite meaningless. Either it is the lighting which her chin overshadows the neck or she had recent plastic surgery to tighten the skin for youthful look.
