Charleston, SC – April 24, 2013 – Former Governor Mark Sanford today stood at the site of what would have been the first debate between himself and his opponent, until Elizabeth Colbert Busch refused to participate, to instead “debate” her biggest benefactor, Nancy Pelosi.

“My opponent continues to run a stealth campaign, avoiding public appearances and refusing to commit to televised forums for the benefit of 1st district voters,” said Sanford. “Since Elizabeth Colbert Busch refuses to articulate her views publicly, we are left to draw inferences for what she stands for on the basis of the groups that have made substantial monetary investments on her behalf.”

“Nancy Pelosi and other national Democrats have contributed nearly $1 million to her effort and we know what Nancy Pelosi stands for – she is anti-Boeing, pro-stimulus, pro-Obamacare and supports raising the debt ceiling ,” Sanford said. “But because my opponent is refusing joint appearances to answer questions about where she stands on the issues, all we can assume is that she is going to be a reliable vote for the Pelosi-Obama agenda, were she to be elected.”

“Elizabeth Colbert Busch says she will be an ‘independent voice’ in Congress, if that is the case, why are Nancy Pelosi and liberal national Democrats contributing nearly $1 million to her effort? Would they be trying to buy this race to send an ‘independent’ voice to Congress, or a reliable liberal Democrat? What are they expecting in terms of their return on investment? Would my opponent indeed cast her vote in favor of a return to the Pelosi speakership? These are questions for which she owes answers directly to the people of the 1st District.”

Yeah, Pelosi’s anti-Boeing, alright – that’s why Boeing gave her $10,000 last year – http://query.nictusa.com/pdf/056/12972659056/12972659056.pdf

The Union had Obama sue Boeing to stop it’s operation in South Carolina.Boeing must pay tribute to all the politicians. This is why politicians go to D.C. and come home millionaires

1) Obama didn’t sue, the union did
2) the union’s complaint had nothing to do with the Boeing facility in SC
3) the union specifically stated that it would NOT ask for or accept any settlement that would take away jobs in SC

Obama is the President .He is in charge of the Federal Government,He is in charge of the Department of Labor which sued Boeing. The Boeing workers in South Carolina were not be forced to donate to President Obama and this was unacceptable to the President. The Union exists to donate money to the Democrats i.e. President Obama
