Former S.C. Senator John Kuhn has parted ways with his campaign manager – although the circumstances accompanying the split are under dispute.

According to one group of sources, Kuhn fired campaign manager Mark Knoop in the midst of an “epic freakout” last week. However sources close to Kuhn’s campaign dispute that contention – saying the breakup was amicable.

“They just never really hit it off,” one of our sources acknowledges. “You have to be compatible with someone to manage their campaign.”

Prior to working on Kuhn’s bid Knoop worked for S.C. Sen. Ronnie Cromer (RINO-Newberry) and served as executive director of the New Mexico Republican Party. Sources tell FITS Le Frye of Starboard Communications is currently handling the day-to-day management of Kuhn’s campaign in Knoop’s place.

Kuhn is one of sixteen Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for the first congressional district seat vacated earlier this year by newly appointed U.S. Sen. Tim Scott.

Koon took a seat from a democrat because he is like one. He needs to relish that long-ago improbable win…and stay out of politics…
SC-1 needs to be Right, like Tim Scott. Moderates, libertarians and lefties need not apply.
We are barely surviving Obama’s horrible mess by controlling what we can as Conservative as possible…Let’s keep it that way…

“Silver Spoon” Koon — who moved here from CALIFORNIA ten years ago — took over the downtown Charleston seat of Ernie Passailaigue, a democrat who got his seat “re-districted” out from under his feet in the 2000 census.

Democrat Passailaigue didn’t even attempt to run for his former seat. Instead, his homo “bunk mate” Glenn McConnell got him appointed as Executive Director of the S.C. Education Lottery. The timing of Kuhn’s move from CA to SC was a complete, total fluke.
