FITSForum: South Carolina’s Last Chance to End Lindsey Graham’s Harmful Legacy

“Defeating Darline Graham is necessary to reclaim our beautiful state from the demons who have sold us out for far too long.”

The final chapter of one of the most tumultuous and breathtaking election cycles in South Carolina’s history ends tomorrow, bringing much relief to our residents. But, of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t write one final closing argument against Darline Graham. If you’re familiar with myself or FITSNews, chances are you’re already caught up on the situation, so I won’t bore you with the details. I simply want to give readers the exact perspective from which I view this headache of a situation.

There’s an old adage that most human beings have heard: if you give an inch, they take a mile. This is especially true of Graham’s staff and the South Carolina political establishment, as they had absolutely no issue propping up Darline despite her apparent reluctance to run. This was confirmed by multiple articles this week, with The Daily Beast calling it a “hostage” situation and The Wall Street Journal describing her Senate run as “reluctant.”

The primary reason Graham’s staff essentially forced her to run was their own selfish interests, as they know it would be catastrophic for their cabal to lose power – the same power they relied on Lindsey Graham to wield irresponsibly, inflicting tremendous damage on our state and country by selling us out to the evil war machine and monstrous special interest groups.

I view this Senate race as the ultimate test for South Carolina’s voters. This very moment in time is our true 1776 moment – an opportunity to reclaim our beautiful state from the demons who have sold us out for far too long.

If Darline does, in fact, lose this week – we will have passed with flying colors. If she wins, it unfortunately means the political establishment has ultimately won the game, perhaps forever – and there’s no silver lining, no chance of being saved. There will be no more hand-holding of voters or baseless excuses made – this is it. The final fight for South Carolina. Everything is at stake, and it just feels different.

The ‘Write-In Ralph‘ movement will inevitably hurt Darline, especially in the Upstate. The true mystery is just how much damage it will inflict. Of course, her opponent, Annie Andrews, has run an absolutely stellar bipartisan campaign as well, even receiving endorsements from many prominent Republicans throughout the state. The stage has essentially been set for the political establishment’s embarrassing and long-overdue defeat.

With these two devastating blows to Graham and company, I can feel the energy shifting, the winds changing, the ships being burned, and the point of no return rapidly approaching.

As we head into tomorrow, my mind is on Carolina Day – specifically, the timeless moment when our beloved Sergeant William Jasper heroically risked his life, dodging heavy British artillery, to raise our state flag. This was Sergeant Jasper’s defining moment, instantly making him one of the great legends of our state. His actions are remembered and celebrated every year, and they will be for the rest of time.

History is studied because it almost always repeats itself. Two hundred and fifty years later, we find ourselves in the same exact revolution for freedom and self-determination. Tomorrow, the voters of South Carolina will have the chance to run directly into enemy fire, raise the flag once again, and defeat the abhorrent political establishment once and for all.

You people act like whoever goes to DC will do what’s right for the citizens of SC. What an antiquated idea. None of them work for us.
