Wealthy South Carolina developer Ron Rallis has once again found himself on the wrong side of the law – this time following an incident involving his brother, a Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) deputy.
Rallis was arrested on Friday (September 25, 2026) by officers of the Folly Beach Department of Public Safety (FBDPS) on a warrant issued out of Greenville County. He was booked in the Charleston County detention center at 4:03 p.m. EDT and was reportedly transferred to Greenville County on Monday (September 28, 2026).
While there was no immediate record of the charge Rallis was facing, FITSNews has been able to confirm he has been charged with malicious damage to property in an amount of $2,000 or less.
What happened?

According to an incident report obtained by FITSNews, the 47-year-old allegedly smashed the windows of a truck belonging to his brother, Justus Rallis, on the afternoon of Monday, September 14, 2026 while at their mother’s residence (located on Old Parker Road approximately five miles north of downtown Greenville).
The incident allegedly occurred while Justus Rallis was “helping his mother with renovating the residence.”
“As Justus began to help his mother with renovation, he would bring in supplies from his truck bed into the residence, which would take between one and five minutes,” the incident report noted. “Justus stated that he would not be out of sight of the truck for longer than five minutes. When Justus exited the residence, he noticed that the front windshield of his truck was smashed in on the driver’s side. The damage seemed to have been done with a dragon statute which was placed by the front door of the residence, and was now moved on its side away from its original resting place.”
The report noted that in addition to the smashed-in windshield there was additional damage to the driver’s side of deputy Rallis’ vehicle, and “significant scratches” to its front hood.

“Justus knew that it was Ronald who caused the damage, as he was the only one in the house who was unaccounted for,” the report stated. “No other family member exited the residence in that short time span, and the driveway is far enough off the road that it is improbable for a bystander to come up the driveway and commit this random act of damage. Ronald also fled the scene in his vehicle prior to Justus realizing the damage was done to his vehicle. Justus then attempted to contact Ronald via text message and ask him to pay for the damages
so he would not have to pursue charges.”
Responding deputies determined there was sufficient cause to issue a warrant for Ron Rallis’ arrest, but noted his residence was outside of Greenville County and, according to his brother, he “switches vehicles often.”
As we noted in covering his latest arrest in June, Ron Rallis’ dazed, glassy-eyed mugshots are “becoming ubiquitous on our media outlet” given his status as the protagonist (antagonist?) in one of the Palmetto State’s most enduring political soap operas.
Rallis has found himself in handcuffs at least seven times since 2022 — including a three-month jail stint in Greenville County for contempt of court in 2023. Several of his arrests involve driving under the influence – including one incident in which his young daughter was in the vehicle at the time of his arrest.
Other brushes with the law have been more serious. Last summer, we reported Rallis had been involved in a domestic incident with a female victim on the evening of July 2, 2025 in Newport Beach, California. According to an emergency protective order issued in the immediate aftermath of that incident, Rallis allegedly “punched, pushed and strangled (the) victim.”
Rallis is facing a civil complaint in South Carolina in connection with that incident, as well.

Wearing a court-mandated ankle monitor, the brash showman strode into a West End Greenville church he had previously purchased – and painted pink – and gave this news outlet an exclusive interview regarding his starring role in the Timmons’ sex scandal.
In addition to his notoriety vis-à-vis the Timmons’ controversy – and from his spate of recent arrests – Rallis has remained active in the real estate game. Earlier this year, he purchased the Sand Dollar Social Club, a venue located in the heart of Folly Beach known for its live music, pool tables and biker-friendliness.
As with anyone accused of committing any crime, Rallis is considered innocent until proven guilty by our criminal justice system – or until such time as he may wish to enter some form of allocution related to any of the (latest) charges filed against him.
