In the new fast?food phase of Trump’s trade agenda, the promise isn’t “a chicken in every pot” but “Argentine mystery meat in every hamburger.” And if the White House really wants to showcase its commitment to South American sourcing, it could always reenlist María Belén Chapur — the Argentine woman who became internationally known when South Carolina governor Mark Sanford went “hiking the Appalachian Trail” all the way to Buenos Aires in 2009. Nothing would underline the administration’s new import strategy quite like Chapur DoorDashing a Big Mac from a McDonald’s in Buenos Aires directly to the Oval Office, completing the same improbable route that once derailed a governor’s career.
I’m sure $5k will help a lot of farmers buy back the farms that went under due to all his meddling. Bet the loads of small businesses that went under can start right back up. We can even reopen all those rural hospitals and practices that had to throw in the towel from his cuts.

Maybe they can use Flock cameras to watch us and make sure we spend the $5,000 in the US (which he said was the one “caveat” for getting the money).
