What they call “choice” is just taxpayer subsidization.
All of these families pay taxes. It costs much more to educate them in the public system.
This is welfare for the rich, or at least those with means. If you can’t afford to transport, which most low income folks can’t, your kid to the “choice” school then you a SOL.
Also, why should my tax dollars subsidize a religious education? If the Satanic Temple opens a school do they qualify for funds?
25,000 applications were received in the priority window. These are families at or below 300% of the poverty level or active duty military. Transportation is an allowed expense under the program.
