No More Fair Elections?

Biden pledges to veto prohibition against illegal alien voting …

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

President Joe Biden has formally announced his intention to veto legislation (H.R. 8281) which would require individuals to show proof of their American citizenship in order to vote in federal elections.

“States already have effective safeguards in place to verify voters’ eligibility and maintain the accuracy of voter rolls,” Biden’s administration noted in a policy statement released earlier this week. “This bill would do nothing to safeguard our elections, but it would make it much harder for all eligible Americans to register to vote and increase the risk that eligible voters are purged from voter rolls.”

The statement (.pdf) added that “the alleged justification for this bill is based on easily disproven falsehoods.”

The notion that illegal aliens are being ushered into America by the millions and encouraged to vote – much like the notion that Biden might not be mentally capable to serve as president (until two weeks ago, anyway) – has been long relegated to the the realm of “conspiracy theories” by our nation’s venerable mainstream media.

Yet like the contents of Hunter Biden‘s laptop, they can only keep certain things under wraps for so long.

For example, the escalating fear among the liberal elite that Biden can’t keep Democrats in power has resulted in a media about-face of epic proportions, with once “conspiratorial” claims about Biden’s apparent dementia now being parroted by every adderall popping, botoxed-out talking head on the television. Expect no such reprieve from the gaslighting on the immigration issue, though. Whether the Democrats run (Weekend at) Biden(s), or successfully badger the stubborn octogenarian into handing the reigns over to Kamala Harris, turning out a massive number of illegal aliens to the polls is clearly a pivotal part of the Democrats’ 2024 electoral strategy.

A 2024 study conducted by research and educational institute Just Facts found anywhere between “10 percent to 27 percent of non-citizen adults in the U.S. are now illegally registered to vote.”

The study’s author, James D, Agresti, is no conspiracy theorist, but rather “holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Brown University, and … previously worked as a designer of jet aircraft engines.”

Agresti’s bio says his “background in the physical sciences allows him to apply practical, empirical approaches to the often capricious world of public policy.”

His immigration study builds off of a groundbreaking 2014 publication in the academic journal Electoral Studies which analyzed data from the 2008 presidential election and found that “roughly one quarter of non-citizens” in the U.S. “were likely registered to vote,” that “6.4 percent of non-citizens actually voted,” and that “81.8 percent of them “reported voting for Barack Obama.”

The authors concluded illegal votes cast by non-citizens likely changed “important election outcomes” in favor of Democrats, “including Electoral College votes” and a “pivotal” U.S. Senate race which allowed Democrats to pass Obamacare.

Agresti endeavored to examine more recent data using similar methodology, discovering that in presidential elections roughly half of registered non-citizens turns out to vote.

The study sources its total predicted number of illegal voters on the U.S. Census Bureau’s recorded population of 19.7 million voting-age non-citizens in the U.S. during 2022.

Based on these numbers, Agresti predicts that roughly 1.0 million to 2.7 million non-citizens will illegally vote in the 2024 presidential and congressional elections.

Depending on where these illegal aliens vote, a couple million extra ballots could have a massive impact on the balance of power going forward.

“There is no hiding it now.” Texas attorney general Ken Paxton wrote on X “Biden and the Democrats want illegal immigrants to vote in the election this November. Our elections are NOT safe from mass interference as long as states do not require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections.”

Biden disagrees. In his policy statement, he noted “it is already illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections.”

While this is true, Biden neglected to mention that leftists have for years actively impeded attempts to enforce these laws at the state level.

“In 2011, Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach championed a law requiring Kansans to show ‘proof of citizenship’ documents in order to register to vote” wrote the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

The ACLU sued and defeated the law in 2018.

When Arizona and Kansas petitioned the federal Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to change their state’s voter registration form to require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections the EAC refused – and a panel of federal appellate judges affirmed their decision.

In many states, including South Carolina, a “utility bill, bank statement, paycheck or government document showing your name and address in your county” is sufficient to register to vote.

This might be surprising to those who followed S.C. governor Henry McMaster‘s reaction to concerns raised by state representative Adam Morgan, chairman of the Palmetto State’s Freedom Caucus. This spring, Morgan sounded the alarm on state welfare agencies providing voter registration forms to non-citizens.

McMaster, in a likely attempt to embarrass Morgan ahead of his congressional election, sent a formal request to the S.C. State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) asking the agency to probe whether government agencies “illegally register non-citizens to vote.”

Boy did McMaster ever show Morgan!

SLED concluded nothing illegal was taking place – and that McMaster’s executive agencies were dutifully following Bill Clinton‘s National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), which requires almost every government agency which distributes welfare transfer payments to also distribute voter registration forms.

Voter Registration

So let’s put this all together:

  1. Democrats have colluded for decades to allow millions of illegal aliens into our country.
  2. Studies have shown these aliens register to vote and impact election outcomes.
  3. South Carolina isn’t preventing them from registering to vote – and is, in fact, distributing voter registration forms to said noncitizens
  4. Top “Republicans” in the Palmetto State think the appropriate reaction to this is attacking a fellow conservative who points out the problem.

What has the GOP supermajority in charge of the S.C. General Assembly done about this problem? It passed a joint resolution putting the following question on this year’s ballot:

“Must Section 4, Article II of the Constitution of this State, relating to voter qualifications, be amended so as to provide that only a citizen of the United States and of this State of the age of eighteen and upwards who is properly registered is entitled to vote as provided by law?”

Ironically, many illegal aliens will likely vote on this question – but even if every citizen in South Carolina voted “yes,” nothing would really change. So long as one can “properly register” with a utility bill (which doesn’t prove citizenship), our elections will continue to feature illegal participation – something state elected officials have demonstrated they have little appetite to change.

While no statutory mechanism prevents illegal aliens from registering and voting, state officials do utilize a federal database to comb through the state’s voter rolls – cross-referencing them with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services SAVE database.

S.C. Election Commission (SCVotes.gov) public information officer John Catalano told this outlet if “non-U.S. citizens did register, they would be breaking the law, and ultimately, we would find them and report them to law enforcement.”

Still, advocates for legislation which expressly prohibits illegal aliens from registering to vote in the Palmetto State are calling for action.

“Of course Biden will veto” attempts to mandate citizenship to vote “he wants illegals to vote” Morgan told FITSNews.

“I’m glad Republicans are finally taking this issue seriously,” Morgan said. “Unfortunately South Carolina Republicans did not. Maybe now the governor and House leadership will wake up and secure our elections.”

While these failures at the state level are disheartening (albeit not surprising) the implications of this policy on the future of the Republic are downright dire.

One might assume officials in states like South Carolina – despite their lack of rules preventing illegal registration – have an interest in preserving the integrity of elections. The same assumption cannot be made about state officials in multiple key swing states – and Biden’s announcement of his intention to veto a citizenship requirement tells the whole nation why, his party stands to benefit in this election (and all future elections) from illegal aliens voting.

With that said, why should any conservative trust the result of any federal election until this massive loophole is closed? Moreover, why should any conservative trust the result of any federal election after the Covid-19 pandemic was used as a pretext to conduct unprecedented levels of hitherto illegal ballot harvesting, a practice that was previously banned in many U.S. jurisdictions because of its potential for fraud?

They shouldn’t.

As Irish Statesman John Philpot Curran famously said in 1790, “the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.”

Vigilance means acknowledging the problem.

Vigilance means acting to reverse the problem.

While House speaker Mike Johnson has acknowledged the problem, many critics within his own party argue he does so only for publicity given his prior failure to advance the issue when he had the leverage to do so.

Should Donald Trump and the GOP overcome what will doubtlessly be another full-throated attempt to bend and break every rule imaginable to deliver as many blue ballots as humanly possible, legislation must be passed ensuring that only citizens vote in our elections – and mandating same-day fraud-proof methodologies that don’t allow partisan operatives to stuff unmonitored drop boxes full of illegitimate ballots.

Should Trump lose (or fail to effectuate sufficient change to bulletproof the system) – it would come down to the American citizenry to demand the liberties which our nation’s founding documents tell us we are due.

We are under no obligation to acknowledge the legitimacy of a government which perpetuates itself by holding fraudulent elections – and should left-wing partisans intent on victory at all costs destroy our ability to hold fair elections, we very well might need to remind our government of this.

If we want our children to grow up in a truly free country – not an oligarchy which gives itself faux-legitimacy with sham elections – we may ourselves have to restore the Republic.

George Washington crossing the Delaware River by Emanuel Leutze.

As author of the Declaration of Independence and third U.S. president Thomas Jefferson wrote, “what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance?”

Should our leaders fail to ensure free and fair elections (and in doing so destroy the legitimacy of our constitutional republic) Jefferson is clear about what must come next.

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants,” he wrote.

God willing, it wont come to that – but it if does, may God grant us the strength and bravery of the founding fathers who fought to give us the freedom that our modern “leaders” further erode every day.

Even if showing your ID was mandatory in all 50 states to vote, Republicans would still claim the election was stolen from them whenever they lose.

These “Just Facts” Republican operatives claimed the same non-sense about the 2020 election and were called out for lying back then.

Of course, the ultra-partisan MAGA blog FitsNews would continue to spread these lies is totally on brand.

Republicans lie, cheat and steal their way to office. Open fair elections, like we currently have, scare republicans to death….that why they lie, cheat and steal.

Thank You July 10, 2024 at 10:33 am

Dylan Nolan, you are one of my favorite FitsNews authors, perhaps my favorite. Your articles are well thought out.

I especially enjoy the Jefferson quotes. Unfortunately, the governmental corporations have used our money, taken from us under threat of violence and/or imprisonment, to fortify their fairycastles from which they rule over us against any meaningful show of “the spirit of resistance”. They fear us in all of their halls of tyranny, from town halls to Capitol halls.

One thing worth mentioning, regarding the part about Trump possibly overcoming the fraud of our elections, he will not do that. Trump went out of his way to accommodate the fraud. He appointed mostly Swamp creatures and NWO operatives his whole four year term. One of them was known Swamp creature Barr, as his Attorney General. Neither Trump nor Barr did one damn thing of substance towards rectifying the fraud or punishing those who were guilty. We got months of a dog and pony show, used as a distraction to keep us placate. It starred the likes of Barr, Pillow Guy, Kraken Lady, “Special” Prosecutor Durham, and others. It went absolutely nowhere, as it was designed to do.

We are in for bad times, ahead.

Hey Opie, isn’t it the Republican mantra to let states do as they please?

Between outlawing abortion, no-fault divorce, and banning non-white immigrants it’s clear conservatives are doing everything they can to keep America as white as a klan robe.

The only party attempting to set up a Russian-style Oligarchy is the Trumpublican Party. I mean all they are asking for is a country run by straight white male “Christians” who think Donald Trump is the second coming of Christ. Donald Trump is the greatest threat to individual liberty since the Civil War. He has made no secret of the fact he will be a dictator. But cult members all believe a man who has spent his entire life screwing suckers out of money and laughing at the common man, will now be honest Don a man of the people.

You people are delusional. Under the banner of a small central government, you have created the most powerful central government in the history of the country, and you want to turn it over to a man who thinks bribes are OK, killing your political rivals is OK, making money from your Presidency is OK, ignoring the Constitution is OK, and shooting anyone who protests against you is OK.

If all these illegals are voting, why can’t the GOP prove it? Why is there zero evidence? If millions have voted, surely you can produce a few thousand illegals you can prove voted. Why haven’t they been prosecuted? Most of them live in red states. Maybe they are being paid to vote Republican?

The studies you cite are BS. If Trump loses, it’s because the vast majority of the American people do not want him as President. He only has a shot because of the Electoral College. If “we the people” really got to choose our President, he would never even have set foot in the White House. If the EC worked the way the founders originally intended, he would never have set foot in the White House. He is a grifter, who would be king. The very type of person the Founders feared most. And yes we are in for bad times, but not for the reasons you say.

The first sign you are in a cult is when you believe the lifelong conman running the cult is the only person telling you the truth. Get help before you buy the Trump brand Kool-Aid.

“The Russian government has launched a ‘whole-of-government’ effort to influence the outcome of the U.S. presidential election and favors Republican candidate Donald Trump in the race,“ the Wall Street Journal reports. What more can I say? Dictators of a feather stick together.

Republicans are facing a blowout in November that will make 2018, 2020 and. 2022 look like popcorn farts.

Republicans are barely leading in the polls. Polls that rely on people who answer any call to their phone and don’t account for any new voters.

Do you think the anti-freedom, pro- white nationalist republicans have gained new voters?
