(TELEVISED) LOVE IS IN THE AIR … MAYBE

|| By FITSNEWS || Single?  Looking for a date?  A new NBC show has got you covered …

According to the producers of First Dates – an Ellen Degeneres project based on a British reality show – the recently green-lit program is currently “casting singles in North and South Carolina who are interested in going on a first date.”

“We’re searching for people genuinely looking for love, men and women ages 18 to 65+ who are currently single,” according to the casting website.  “No competition, no eliminations — just a First Date. Where it goes from there is up to you.”

How does it work?

“We interview all applicants and set them up with someone who shares similar interests and tastes,” a producer told us via email.  “We would love to have you share this information with your readers!”

Done …

The British version of First Dates – set in a London restaurant – features couples who have never met before getting together for the first time.  The show debuted on Channel 4 in 2013 and is currently in its third season.  In April, NBC announced it had ordered eight episodes of the format for American audiences.

Do the British ever base any of their shows on American shows? I mean, damn, it seems like we’re poaching tv ideas from the Limeys all the time.

It would seem that there are more U.S remakes of Brit shows than Brit remakes of U.S. shows

All the players in this farce should afterwards get a tattoo on their foreheads to commemorate their participation in the inanity.

My interests include reading the comment section on Fitsnews, not so much the articles though.

I like cuddling, long walks down the tunnel, a glass of buck before bed time and a man who appreciates the value of plenty of anal lubrication.

I see Homer Simpson on Family Guy every now and then, maybe T Rav could do a cameo on this new show.
