FAIRFIELD COUNTY RALLY RAISES QUESTIONS …

By FITSNEWS || S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley is going to win reelection as governor of the Palmetto State next week … but she’s leaving nothing to chance with a busy schedule of last-minute campaign rallies.

One of those rallies will be held in Fairfield County at the headquarters of Element Electronics – a company Haley lured to South Carolina last summer with a whopping $15 million in government subsidies (more than five times what the state’s legacy media originally reported).

According to Haley, Element is bringing 500 new jobs to Fairfield … although we all know how those promises work.  Or rather don’t work.

And we all know who really benefits.

Anyway … according to an invitation from the Fairfield “Republican” Party, Haley’s “rally” will include “a free lunch barbecue and entertainment by the Fairfield Central High School Marching Band.”  Meanwhile another government funded entity – the Midlands Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) institute – is providing a “demonstration.”

Seriously … is there any part of this “rally” not paid for by taxpayers?  We know campaigning on your dime is par for the course for Haley, but this is ridiculous.

If we’ve said it once we’ve said it a thousand times: Government should not be in the business of picking winners and losers in the marketplace.

That’s especially true when the businesses receiving taxpayer-funded handouts turn around and provide benefits to politicians in the form of free travel, campaign contributions and – in this case – venues for campaign events.

Despite a steady stream of government subsidized announcements from the “Jobs Governor,” the brutal truth remains: The Palmetto State’s income levels haven’t budged since she took office and its workforce (as a percentage of the population) has shrunk to record lows.  In fact South Carolina ranks sixth-worst nationally in both of these key categories.

No wonder government dependency is soaring …

If she wins it will be short term…Harrel did not cut a deal with the Feds to let Haley continue her criminal behavior.

The apple doesn’t fa;; from the tree. In recent months, Jay Koon was hand selected by the Haley team to be transferred over to the Lexington County Sheriff’s department. This no secret and his close ties to Tedd Pitts (Chief of Staff for Haley) was the reason for the selection to this position. Jay Koon serves as Major in the department and is currently seeking the office of Lex Co Sheriff when the race opens in a special election. He currently is campaigning while on taxpayer money as he sits at the county. THIS IS RIGHT OUT OF THE JIMMY METTS PLAY BOOK. Why would we want another Jimmy in this office. It is being told that Jay Koon is pulling deputies into his office and asking them if they are with him or against him, if they are with him he tells them to go out into the county and find people to back him on duty. So not only is he campaigning on duty he is asking his staff to the same.

Town of Lexington Council plays a part in this as well.

LMAO!!! Is this the best Fits can do? This is the “grand finale” of the Fits barrage of personal attacks and falsehoods posted about Haley and her policies? A “barbeque”?

Got to be something else here. Maybe a “pinata” full of Asian money that the children will whack and the “goodies” will fall to the floor? Sheheen will be standing outside shouting “whore” while Tom Ervin announces his Green Peace Party candidacy for 2030.

Clowns.

Not bad.In Horry County, one of the city council members of a community would hold a “fish fry” near the voting precinct on election day. Feed em for a vote?

To me, she is worthless. All she does is flap her jaw. And that does not justify her salary and benefits. As to jobs? Pfffft!!! All of these tax incentives don’t really do much to help. You see, she speaks of creating jobs. Jobs for who? Transplants from other states? Surely not the regular citizens of South Carolina.
Try forcing wages in SC back up. They are sitting in many cases at 2004 and 2005 levels. Meanwhile, everything else has gone through the room – including greed.
..
Get out of South Carolina if you can. Its being overrun by northerners and ILLEGAL Aliens.

I hope people vote for Haley like they did Harrell. I love watching people in shock with they find out the people they been supporting are real crooks.

So when will Haley answer questions about how she fought to protect her HUSBAND’S Guard benefits, yet allowed benefits to public safety workers to be cut (as well as disability for officers injured in the line of duty being cut by 17%) on her watch -and AFTER she promised those benefits would be left intact??? Simple greed and self-interest. Nikki, you are a sociopath.

I don’t understand how the ad with Micheal in his uniform, disclaimers and all, is still not a violation of federal law.
But, of course, Hugh Weathers has been doing ads for IGA and local growers this campaign season…
And, Curtis Loftis has been playing the state made ads about the program to save for your kid’s college education.
A lot of SCGOP ads this season have been illegal, freebies from corporations or state taxpayer sponsored.

Did you say the government paid for Fairfield Central High School Marching Band?
Sheheen doesn’t stand a chance.

You haven’t written a word about the $35 million the state is paying to bring Giti Tire to Chester County. Or who that money is going to.
