First it was University of South Carolina All-American defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.  Then it was Clemson University’s all-time passing leader Tajh Boyd.  Then it was Clowney … again.

Now a much more diminutive (but no less influential) public figure has been pulled over on a South Carolina interstate: S.C. Senate finance committee chairman Hugh Leatherman.

According to our sources Leatherman – arguably the most powerful politician in the Palmetto State – was stopped in his pearl colored Cadillac Escalade heading westbound on Interstate 20 at mile marker 88 (in Kershaw County).  The stop occurred on Friday evening at around 6:30 p.m. EST.

This is the same stretch of highway where Boyd was pulled over doing 84 miles per hour in a 70 miles per hour zone.

Calls to the S.C. Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) regarding the disposition of Leatherman’s traffic stop were not immediately returned, but we’re gonna go out on a limb and guess that he didn’t get a ticket.

He was going 28 mph.

When the policeman asked why he was speeding he politely told him “I appropriated the money for this road, sold the contractor the concrete, and was screwing his wife at the same time, so as far as I know, I own this road and will drive as I please. And by the way, you just lost your job and your pension!”

Your post sounds spot on for this self serving egotistical, narcissistic Bastard!
Only problem, if he goes the low life, immoral Peelers take control, with Jean Toal
(the hit and run dyke) pulling the puppet strings!

The old guy drives a huge black Mercedes purchased in part with money from his concrete company which has sold more than 30 million dollars worth of concrete to SC.
He realizes what so few people do, and that is that as long as you have power you are probably not going to jail. Steal all you want as there is little or no chance of paying a price.

Leatherman is so crooked that they will have to screw him into the ground when they bury him. Besides, his casket will be full of stolen taxpayer money.

He suffers from micro-penis. Many of the Florence mofia have that problem. Makes them work harder at being scum.

According to a story filed by the AP Leatherpecker provided a reasonable justification for speeding.

When he went to his car in the parking garage he discovered that it had been broken into and his apple crate was missing

The Capital Police constructed a make shift booster seat out of some old State Budget Manuals. However it didn’t function as well as his apple crate and Leatherpecker’s ass kept slipping off the Manuals pushing his foot further down on the accelerator until he could crawl back up on top of his makeshift booster seat

this is the same stretch of road where I was pulled doing almost 100 mph – and the relevance to the total non-story about leatherman is? right, figured…i

You should have been arrested for reckless endangerment.

Kershaw county strikes again! If he was speeding through their neck of the woods, he was asking for a ticket.

Justice in South Carolina depends upon who Just-Us is and what department stops you! Just like the Justice Department and the “Knockdown Game.”

“Jean, take care of this.”
“Gotcha, Hugh. How are the commitments coming along?”
“We’ll talk about those later. Just get rid of the ticket. Glenn is on the other line.”
“Gotcha, Hugh.”
