South Carolina needs a governor who puts affordability and families first — someone who makes everyday costs, family security, and economic opportunity the top priorities of state government. Too many hard-working parents are deciding between paying the mortgage, filling the gas tank, or affording childcare and healthcare. Electing a leader who will cut burdensome regulations, lower costs, expand job training, and protect communities from crime and predatory actors is the single most important step toward restoring hope and stability for South Carolina families.
My duty as a husband and father is simple: protect my family. Like every parent, I want my children to grow up in a home and a community where they are loved, secure and free to pursue their dreams. That personal mission is why I’ve spent my life in public service, and why I’m running to be South Carolina’s next governor.
Our communities are under assault from forces that prey on our kids and make every parent fear for the future of our state and nation. These times demand state leadership that speaks clearly and acts decisively.
As attorney general, I’ve made confronting those threats my priority. We’ve prosecuted violent criminals, taken on drug cartels that flood our communities with fentanyl, and worked to dismantle trafficking networks and protect vulnerable children from predators. I’ve partnered with state and federal law enforcement to make neighborhoods safer and challenged Big Tech where it threatens our kids and free speech.

My commitment to service began long before I entered public office. I’ve served 29 years in the Army National Guard, including a combat tour in Iraq, where I learned firsthand the responsibilities of leadership, the costs of violence, and the sacred obligation to protect others. As a career prosecutor, I’ve dedicated my adult life to upholding the rule of law and standing up for victims. Those experiences taught me that safety and opportunity go hand in hand: you cannot build a thriving economy on fear.
That is why public safety will be the foundation of my administration — because we can’t begin to tackle affordability and opportunity unless South Carolina families feel secure. But restoring safety is only step one. As governor, I will also deliver an economy that lowers costs for families, grows paychecks, and creates opportunity across our state. We will eliminate waste, cut out government corruption and fraud and return the savings to taxpayers.
To make life more affordable, I will eliminate the state income tax and cut burdensome property taxes. I will focus my administration on economic policies that directly reduce household expenses and expand earning power: cutting unnecessary regulations that raise prices, promoting energy policies that lower utility bills, reforming occupational licensing to help people enter good jobs faster, and expanding workforce training so employers find skilled workers here at home. We must make South Carolina the best place to start a business, raise a family, and keep more of what you earn.

We’ll also support small businesses with targeted tax relief and streamlined permitting so entrepreneurs can expand and hire. Economic growth must be shared. That means investing in career and technical education, apprenticeship programs, and community college partnerships so high-paying jobs are within reach for every South Carolinian. It means holding bad actors accountable when they threaten our communities and our economy — drug cartels, traffickers, fraudsters — while protecting property rights and the rule of law that allow small businesses to flourish.
We need a governor who will support law enforcement, hold violent offenders and drug traffickers accountable, and close the gaps that allow predators and cartels to operate. We also need leaders who understand how to get things done — who build coalitions, seek conservative solutions, and return to civility after a hard fight. Public safety and economic opportunity require both toughness and the ability to work with others to achieve results.
Eighty percent of Republican sheriffs across the state have endorsed my campaign for governor because they know I will support them and fight alongside them. But this campaign isn’t about me — it’s about every South Carolinian who wants to live in peace, earn a good living, raise a family and worship without fear.
As your next governor, I will make protecting families and expanding opportunity my mission every day. Together, we will keep South Carolina safe, strengthen our economy, lower costs, and create prosperity for generations to come.
